Halloween, Halloween 2 and then Halloween 20 Years later is my favourite sequence of films and my preferred timeline. I just ignore Resurrection’s existence 😂
no Loomis lived if you listen the nurse was Loomis's caretaker until he died goddamn I haven't seen these movies in 3 years and I remember this info 2 / 1 / 2018 2:30am Nys USA
Seeing Michael get kicked out the window by Busta Rhymes was like "Dude Michael would've waited until he went to kick him grab Busta's leg in a tight grip & twisted his leg off or brought his other hand down & broke Busta's leg clean."
Halloween & Hellraiser both told a complete story in two parts and any sequels after those are just separate, unrelated stories as far as I'm concerned tbh.
I love watching your reviews, especially movies that are bad. You guys are pretty hilarious. LOL. Everytime Iain went, "Fu**ing Busta Rhymes" I lost it! XD
Dr. Loomis still lived in Halloween 2's explosion but had been keeping track of Laurie and where she had gone and was being taken care of by that nurse. Halloween 6 was the first film released by Dimension/Miramax.
You really hit it on the head with how H20 and so many of the sequels are mere immitations of John Carpenter’s immortal classic. Halloween is one of those franchises, along with Alien and Terminator, that seem to be forever trapped in the shadow of either the original and/or the first sequel and can’t seem to escape them. Every sequel or reboot feels the need to heavily reference the original, use cues or direct shots, along with the Carpenter score.
Technically speaking Gary's kinda right about the franchise ending with Resurrection being the final film. Because it is the last film in the original timeline.
What I never got is after police arrive and put Michael in body bag, nobody thought about taking his mask off to check for pulse and I don’t know maybe get view of what this serial killer looks like
No no no, Halloween H20 doesnt establish that Loomis died in H2. It is established that he died shortly before the continuity of this film. The nurse that was killed in the beginning of the movie was in charge of him.
The end of H20 was specifically planned so that they could bring Michael back in the next movie (because the producer refused to let them kill off Michael for good). This is in the DVD extras.
I Loved H20 should have been a great end to the series! But!!!!.... Resurrection came and it was a Stupid Bad Hilarious Film! I kind of consider it an Alternate Timeline! Oh And Busta Rhymes Why did he have the Best Scene in the film telling Michael what to do and where to find Tyra Banks LMAO! This is like what Jason X was but this was more Realistic :P Can't even say that with a straight face! Great Review Guys!
great review as always, i didnt mind ll cool j that much i thought he did ok or good enough but Busta was just crazy lol that was the early 00's for you
Hey there guys... Michaels mechanic's overall's don't have blood on them at the beginning of Halloween Resurrection when the paramedic is attacked by Michael Myers is a continuity error. He does have the blood stains at the end of H20 because Michael changed gear with the paramedic. It just emphasises that the producers didn't give a twonk about it's audience. F..ck this flick!!! Great reviews guys!!!
Halloween, Halloween II and H20 are the only films I consider cannon. I absolutely adore H20 though I wish it was longer and the final showdown was bigger!
i saw it in the theaters and still cannot understand the lowering from the ceiling trick in the hallway myers did , looked cool but did not make any sense.
H20 was the first Halloween film I saw at the cinema, best ending to a Halloween film IMO, if it was more bloody it would've been better received, way better than the latest trilogy. It's like they were trying to play it safe, have the same feel as all the other teen slasher film's at that time, instead of making an all-out Halloween movie. Cherry Fall's would make an interesting review.
To correct the reviewers, Miramax (via Dimension films) got the rights to the Halloween franchise in 1994-95. Halloween 6 was produced under Dimension.
33:49 I never noticed this until, but that shot of the door being busted down by Busta Rhymes (yeah I know I made a pun), in that quick glimpse moment, you can see that Deckard dude (or Ryan Merriman) busting down the door, which was supposed to be part of an alternate ending where Deckard was supposed to save... whatever the hell her name is, in the garage fire. I mean, wow, the editors didn't even *_try_* to hide that, what with their pristine "editing" skills.
George Bean damn good eyes I don’t how big of a Micheal myers fan you are but much respect to you my guy because I kept replaying that like I don’t see it then I paused it quickly boom! There he was
+That's_Kansas, I am *_that_* big of a Myers fan, I could be like a walking encyclopedia on him, even down to who played Myers in each film. *;D* The '78 film is my #1 favorite and am excited for the new one coming out.
Holy smokes. That is terrible. I cringe everytime even when i saw it in the theater from the trailers and setup you could count down and i was like nope dont wanna see that and turn away so ive not seen that part ever, i had to look now and damn:(
The mask the masked killed me..,so they’re telling us that “Larry” felt the mask on him and didn’t snatch it off before Laurie axed him.... smmfh and Micheal had time to crush “Larry’s” throat switch clothes before anyone came in I seen this movie once and that was more than enough
No, it was her idea to do h2o as a service to the fans who wanted to see the story concluded. However when the studios saw how many people came out to see that movie they wanted another one and since Jaime Lee Curtis was so fed up with it she only agreed to come back so that they could kill her off and not have her come back ever again.
I did not know that. Thanks. It seems funny now to think at one time they actually expected them to conclude the Halloween series. People don't expect that anymore. They can only release the final film in the series a couple of times before you call bullshit the next time it's said.
No it wasnt I just listened to the commentary for Halloween H2o from the boxset an she said they told her straight up she cant kill myers an no matter what the ending was.Myers wouldnt be truly dead. She requested can the character an audience at least believe it was Myers an they said yes.But the studio never wanted or was going to allow Myers to die in this. The reason she died in resurrection is because she diddnt want to do this franchise or horror any more same reason she quit after Halloween 2 which she dosent even like. She prefers H20 to H2.
not true when she made H2o she said the studio told her no matter what Myers cant die an she was gonna walk but they were to far into production so she requested can the character an audience at least believe she kills him for film closure an they said yes.She explains all this on the commentary for H20 on the boxset recently released. The studio was never gonna kill Myers.
@@boomstickcritique902 Incorrect. There was a debate about killing Michael, but it was between the writer and the producer. Jamie Lee had nothing to do with it.
Awesome review guys but loomos didnt die at the end of halloween 2, in h20 the nurse from halloween 1 has been looking after him and he has has meanr to have a passed away a year or 2 before h20
This is definitely a post-Scream Halloween film, there's even a scene where the girls are watching 'Scream 2', which is weird because in 'Scream' they are watching the original 'Halloween'.... I wish this hadn't been such a big hit and they could have ended this timeline here instead of making Resurrection.
01:35 I always treated it as if she just faked her death and left. Alas, she left her daughter behind in the process. Mother of the year material there. :-/
oh, i musta missed them.. ive been looking through all your vids.. ill have a nother look.. just spent last 2 hours watching ur halloween reviews.. lol... as part as 5 and 6 are i still love them!!
by the way.. just wanted to say (as i watch ur review on h8), if they left out busta and tyra... and shot the movie without the video camera aspect... 8 coulda been pretty decent
I don't care what anybody says Halloween 4 was the best sequel I would've wanted Laurie daughter Jamie Lloyd character to face up Michael Myers and kills him HALLOWEEN 4,5 are good sequels what sucks is H 6,7,8
That wasn't so much an original cut as the original draft of the script. The script writer, Kevin Williamson, initially intended to acknowledge Halloween 4, 5 and 6, but the script was subsequently rewritten to treat those films as if they never happened. I think that was for the best, as abandoning her daughter makes Laurie look like a bad mother.
Could they at least get a same body type medic and not some fat guy? The idea that a human took all that damage is ludicrous. If you ever heard of a TV show called Dallas there was a season near the end where the whole thing was a dream. Major characters died and it wasn't real. That was Shakespeare compared to this.
Or big middle finger to the audiences in Halloween Resurrection at the end it turns out Michael has never escaped from the institution and that all the movies and events were a fantasy sequence Michael was having when he was in the comatose state
NO way in Hell is Halloween H20 as bad as parts 5 & 6. I think H20 now has a bad rep because of how Resurrection basically RUINED it's purpose. But that doesn't make h20 any less great. Resurrection was horrible, but H20 was clearly top 3....right behind parts 1&2. I'd say 1, 2, and H20 are the only three that I really can watch over and over.
No H2o gets alot of flack because even though it brings back Curtis which is fine its boring and the tension isnt there at all like the first 2.The new characters an setting feel nothing like Halloween an feel like Miachel on Dawsons Creek. The film copies the Scream lets be clever style.Without the climax with Curtis at the end it would be one of the worst films. That is the only thing that saves it an its interrupted by ll cool J who has no reason to be in this movie. The ending with the van rolling is to over the top.The finale with her cutting his head off is good. But the film itself has none of the scares or tension of the first 2.Its better then Halloween 5 an the theatrical cut of 6 but its not better then the Producers cut of 6 or the fourth movie.Number four has better tension an scares an has better characters other then Laurie all the characters in H20 blow. The Producers cut of 6 has better tension an scares an kills. And donald Pleseance which H2o really needed without him part of the heart is gone. The only thing H2o has going for it is Curtis without her the movie would suck to high heaven. An with her when she actually gets to fight Miachel it becomes fun.As a whole its an ok movie. But other then the climax the movie dosent even measure up to the good Halloween films.Just having Curtis isnt enough.Halloween worked because of the scares an tension an suspense which H2o dosent even come close to having in the majority of the film.Steve Miner just isnt any were close to Carpenter.
Anthony Rodriguez yeah Michael Myers was calling people with a cellphone and he's tripping like a drunk person trying to stab people... You sound idiotic
Agreed, I see _H1,_ _H2_ and _H20_ as like a sort-of *"Laurie Strode Trilogy"* centered on Laurie having to deal with Michael, as like a trilogy, H20's ending fits perfectly, that's how I'd see it as. *;)*
Out of curiosity I checked IMDb just to see if Resurrection IS the final movie. And......nope- "Halloween:the night evil died" this year. And...is it the end if remakes / reboots after Rob Zombies shitshows? Noooo...remake scheduled for 2018. See, the problem is twofold - 1 studios have no imagination and are money grabbing 2- horror fans themselves- too many horror fans don't understand what makes a movie good, just like the studios, and just think Myers, Jason, Freddie , Pinhead etc look cool and want to see them killing people... even Zombie didn't get it and decided Myers needs a back story / prequel- no he fucking doesn't- he was referred to as "The Shape" in the screenplay.. those movies should've stopped at 1, maybe 2 and out. Hellraiser should've stopped at 2, before deciding Pinhead was a Jason style killer which he never was meant to be (Frank was the focus of the original..), Jason, again- he didn't even have the hockey mask to start with and was a fairly slight killer, shit he wasn't even the fucking killer to begin with..studios and fans alike need to get a grip and be smart enough to understand what a good movie is and what a good horror movie is- cos hey guess what, story atmosphere originality lighting editing etcetc actually matters
Jamie Lee Curtis Laurie Strode was on a talk show after this movie came out and was asked : " would you come back in another HALLOWEEN ? what would it take ? " Jamie Lee Curtis : " I told them they would have to bring a BRINKS truck to my house " " yes I would return if the story made sense , who said Laurie Strode was dead ? "
I think the 2 masks from H2O and Halloween resurrection. We’re stupid looking in my oppion u should of asked Don Shanks or George Wilper to play Michael
H20 wasn't amazing but it certainly isn't as terrible as the earlier entries. Fucking Resurrection is the worst cash grab ever. Maybe "Larry" (haha) should of, oh I dunno took off the mask if he wasn't really Myers at the end of H20... what a load of bollocks Good review dudes
TheTimeRanger only films in franchises are cannon the reason is because any film that the studio wants to make in the future if they feel like ignoring them they will comics are loose cannon dude they have never been true cannon just because a comic gets made that trys to establish a story that explains stuff that dosent make it cannon
JohnBlack2345 Gary and Ian goofed and forgot to mention the fact that the police say that Loomis died three years ago when they're investigating the aftermath of the massacre at Marion's place, so Loomis lived out his final days in peace in the H20 timeline.
I freaking love these two guys.

Loomis didn’t die in this canon in Part 2. He survived as-well and spent the rest of his years obsessed with Michael. It was stated in the movie.

Make a Friday the 13th review
Larry the brother of Roy from Friday the 13th part 5
I have yet to see a review of Rob Zombies Halloween.
There’s probably a reason for that!!!
Does LL Cool J ever die in a horror movie?
Jamie Lee Curtis
Laurie Strode
was on a talk show after this
movie came out and was asked :
" would you come back in another HALLOWEEN ?
what would it take ? "
Jamie Lee Curtis :
" I told them they would
have to bring
a BRINKS truck
to my house "
" yes I would return
if the story made sense ,
who said Laurie Strode
was dead ? "
TRICK or TREAT
🎃
What do you have against ll cool j?
I think the 2 masks from H2O and Halloween resurrection. We’re stupid looking in my oppion u should of asked Don Shanks or George Wilper to play Michael
H20 wasn't amazing but it certainly isn't as terrible as the earlier entries. Fucking Resurrection is the worst cash grab ever. Maybe "Larry" (haha) should of, oh I dunno took off the mask if he wasn't really Myers at the end of H20... what a load of bollocks
Good review dudes
20 years since the first movie... not the second.
Correction. Loomis died on his deathbed, on a comic set on the H20 Timeline.
comics arent cannon to the films
nope. Its canon. The comics are actually canon. Heck, the Halloween 4-6 timeline is basically Tommy's drawings on the comics.
TheTimeRanger
only films in franchises are cannon the reason is because any film that the studio wants to make in the future if they feel like ignoring them they will comics are loose cannon dude they have never been true cannon just because a comic gets made that trys to establish a story that explains stuff that dosent make it cannon
they were trying to bring back the suspense from the first 2, that's why there was a small body count.
it was 20 years after the first movie not part 2 persay.
how did Loomis die in H2 if the police are standing in his room in H20 with all the material that looks like he was searching for Michael?
JohnBlack2345 Gary and Ian goofed and forgot to mention the fact that the police say that Loomis died three years ago when they're investigating the aftermath of the massacre at Marion's place, so Loomis lived out his final days in peace in the H20 timeline.
GAMEPRODELTA yeah I was confused about that but I thought in H20 he had died days before Michael even came back
