Seen here is the motorcade of the royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and First Lady Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. The motorcade was making its way down Chestnut Street towards the Kitsilano Coast Guard base.

I love how when ever I catch them it's 3 or 4 vehicles, but when it's abroad it's a huge motorcade.

The longest motorcade in Britain I've seen of British VIPs is probably 7 or so cars I seem to remember. And those were Royals.
But when Obama came over there was 20 odd vehicles lol.

When the Royals visit Canada, the motorcades are about getting them from place to place on time. Security is an issue but the threats are not grave. Armoured cars aren't seen as necessary. The armoured cars, in this case, are for PM Trudeau (the main one and one back up down the line just in case).

I. am wondering why there's a significant distance between PM's car and William and Kate's car. and why PM's motorcade seems to be in a rush while Royal's taking it easy?
The PM's running from the public while the Royals, Prince William and Duchess Catherine are meeting the people along the way and responding with a wave for those who see them, consideration of those they serve, unlike the Prime Minister.

Secret service in Canada has some great ideas for lighting a light on the hood of the car and one on the roof I've not seen that in any other emergency services very good and unique. Me like very much

Daanish Chew It's actually not that hard to catch motorcades when you live in a big international city. Keep an eye on the news and watch for VIPs coming for a visit. If you know where they'll be it's not hard to guess which routes they might take, and if you don't catch them arriving you can always get them leaving. There should be certain government buildings and such where you can catch motorcade's every day.

Most still view the Royal Family positively here. At least a Jaguar would fit better.
The 300 is actually quite a comfortable car. Its chassis uses parts from Mercedes and as a result, has a comfortable ride.
In Australia, the only people that would buy a 300, are some losers that just won money in the poker machine and they could leave the kids in it, in pub carpark.
