I thought I had found at least a track listing for an album, mixed in somehow with a copyright listing for something else, somewhere on the www. I'll go back through my saved files, see if I can find it. I also know the band members' names, would be interesting to see if they could be tracked down online for info on an actual album. ; )

For anyone else interesting in Exploding Parakeet there is a guy on here named Jim S. who apparently was the drummer in the band, Jim Suhy. He's uploaded two other songs from them, as well as a couple of different pics. One song is called 'Talk' and the other is 'Mannequin Man.' 'Mannequin Man' he's listed as being from 1984. So apparently if Rikardo1980's info is correct, they made 'Diehard Romantic' in 1981 and were still recording songs three years later.
From the FM synthesizer sounds, I would guess that "Diehard Romantic" was recorded no earlier than 1983, the year that Yamaha brought the DX-7 to market.
I still have my 45.

No album,just the 45 as far as I know. Got that through Paradox Mailorder back in the day from Trouser Press.
