Hey guys, there appears to be some confusion based on what I said about Optimized Battery Charging at the start of this video. I recommend leaving Optimized Battery Charging ON to preserve you’re iPhone’s battery heath as much as possible. The only reason I turned it off in this video was to create the most accurate test environment possible for comparing these three charging methods to one another.
People hating on the 5W, but it’s the one that is the best for the iPhone and it’s battery life. It creates less heat and pressure on the battery cells. As he says: When a phone lasts a full day and is only charged over night - it doesn’t matter if it takes 1 hour or 4 hours.
Regarding the impact of the power of the charger on the battery, your conclusion is correct. I have tried to use 20W and 5W for long-term use tests on two XRs. The result is that within 500 charging cycles, the charging power of 20W Caused the battery efficiency to drop from 100% to 92%, while the 5W device only dropped from 100% to 98%, and in daily use I charged before 30% battery remaining
After this, I told my friends my conclusion, and they obviously felt that the battery life of the device increased by nearly 15% compared to the 20W charging after charging the device directly with 5W.
@Shawn S If you notice that the battery is performing better on a 20 watt charge because of this, stick with it so you'll spend a little more time charging but save nearly $100 in battery replacement costs
Charging on a 5W feels like a non consensual violation towards my iPhone 13 now that I have the 20w. The difference is extreme, made me search up if this speed of charging is healthy for the phone lol
@@StarBattle08 It drains your battery’s overall health faster than a 5w, but not fast enough to be a complete issue. If you follow the 40-80 charging rule, you’ll be fine. Edit: used the word “batteries” which is, by definition, plural and incorrect for the context I was using it in.
True I used an 18 watt charger on my iPhone 7 Plus and the battery capacity dropped 10% in 3 months I had to drop to the 5w charger and the capacity has been held firm the last 4 months
@@whiteshark2060 You probably shouldn’t use faster chargers on smaller batteries as this will age them considerably. If you have one of the newer models the degradation will have a much smaller effect.
I've owned an iPhone 11 for three months and have only allowed it to charge to 100% three times. I charge at various times throughout the day (as convenience allows) - do not let it go below 20%. As I write this I'm using the 20 W brick and thus far it remains at 100% Maximum Capacity. I have had several iPhones in my history (iPhone 3, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 8 and now iPhone 11) and charged them by various different methods. This seems to be the best of all I have ever tried.
I’m currently using a 20w charger as well, usually I charge my XR two times a day max, btw 20% - 80%, but since a 20w is considered fast charging, should I worry about battery life in the long run?
The 1 hour and shorter charge performance is most important to me coming from OnePlus and where the 20w shines. The 5w is unusable, unless charging overnight which I don’t do. I’ve always used the 12w and it’s a great travel charger too. Especially for all your other devices.
@@dushyantawana5761 I have a OP 7 Pro and after 1.5 years of charging with the warp charger, my phone's battery last half of a day. It is very annoying
Using a 13 mini since Jan 2022, and had been using a 20W to charge. Battery health is at 96 percent. Just switched to 5W for charging overnight which should help slow down the drop in capacity.
"The lower the wattage the better it is for battery health" Unfortunately, that's not always the case. Depending on battery chemistry, low current charging can cause some unwanted side effects like hard to break structures building up, memory effects, etc. Moreover, very slow charging can mess up with the charging controller and cause improper charging -- either consistently under or overcharging. In both cases this can lead to reduced battery life. The software that is supposed to monitor your battery charging and help prolong battery life can also have trouble working correctly. Do remember that the device, charger and software are all designed and tested for a *normal* user that uses recommended or similar charger. I think it is always best to follow manufacturer's guidance. It probably is ok to charge at half the current, but I would probably not want to go much lower than that.
@@rubensalphe1254 it's garbage for today's phone standards. Chips and screens are becoming more powerful and power hungry so I don't get the point of garbage 5w charging speeds of yesterday.
Everything these days are designed to work for a year or two If it was 30 years ago I would totally agree with you on how manufacturer designed honest and true, but now the only thing that matter is a race for time and money
I’ve been using the 5W brick all the time and I’m shocked to see an 12W adaptor lying around in our house and I use it to charge my phone almost all the time because it’s faster but I’m going to copy what you’re doing and use the 5W brick one during the night! Nice comparison!
Someone in the comments made the statement that even with a 5w charger you degrade the battery life by charging to 100%. Just based on real world evidence of the 5w-overnight-charging-crowd, I’m seeing battery health numbers like 98% after 500 charge cycles, which is really very minimal degradation. Just got a 13 pro max, and even though I got an Apple mag safe charger to go with it, I’m gonna switch to my 5w brick for overnight charging.
I just bought an iPhone 13 (regular) last week, and they had me buy the 20W brick. I had an iPhone 7, so I have a 5W brick. I like the fact I can use the 5W, for overnight charging while I sleep, or using it in the car, since the 20W does not have a USB for that. Thank you for posting and comparing.
I have a 5w brick, it was from my previous iPhone 7. And I use it for charging my iPhone 15 plus at work, it takes a lot. However, today I learned how the 5w is the charger more indicated for the protection of the battery. Is a awesome video, great job bro.
Charging your device up to 80-100% regularly reduces batterylife. IPhones and IPads (don’t know about other Apple devices) have a feature, that reduces the charging speed at 80-90% and again at 90-100 to extend Batterylife. Thats why in the end the 12W catches up to the 20W.
I like keeping my phone battery between 30 and 80 percent. That way, I can really take advantage of my 20 watt charger as it charges faster between those ranges. Keeping it between 30 and 80 also increases the battery life as opposed to fully charging and and draining it to 20.
Charging to full 100% when "optimazed battery charging" is on doesn't matter that much as daing to 20percent. Its not healthy to battery, but to 100% it's not rly bad. I'm working in apple service and know it from expirence i get there :) Have a good day !
@@kacper7630 lol not true at all. This new batteries are meant to drop to zero and charge when you want. The only thing you need to be careful is not to let it get hot, warm is fine and normal.
At first I used a MagSafe charger. But when I got my AirPods, I started using a regular 20W charger and only sometimes use the MagSafe charger to charge my iPhone. Later I found out that wireless chargers are bad for the battery health, I only used it for my AirPods since the case technically isn’t a device and doesn’t really matter if the battery health is bad due to only charging it at night.
I pre-order my iPhone 12 Pro Max when it came out and I got it on lunch day. I also got the MagSafe charger immediately after it came in. I charged my iPhone every night with the MagSafe charger for almost a year until I got my iPhone 13 Pro max on launch day. So after almost a year of using the MagSafe charger every night my iPhone 12 Pro Max battery was at 98% battery health. I still use the same MagSafe charger with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it’s still at 100% battery health. I don’t think wirelessly charging your iPhone degrades the battery that much that you need to worry about using a wired charger instead. Also, I did use the Apple branded 20 watt power adapter with the MagSafe charger. I read online that if you don’t use the Apple branded ones with the MagSafe charger that it can degrade the battery faster but I’m not 100% sure how true that is. Hope this helps.
@@dilyndukes7657 Thanks for the feedback. I do realize that you should use the 20W adapter with the MagSafe charger. But when I use the MagSafe charger, it generates a lot of heat. And that is for all wireless chargers. It is also a lot slower. And it is actually bad for your battery health if you use a 20W charger overnight. So you should just rather use a wired 5W charger if you’re gonna charge it overnight.
I don’t always pay attention to the wattage, we have 5W, 10W and 12W. We don’t use anything higher than 12W as I don’t have the USB-C to Lightning. I try to use the 10 or 12W if I want it charged quicker.
I have an iPhone 13 and I use the 5W brick. I also like to keep the battery percentage between 20%-80% that way the battery will have a longer life. It is slow but I’m good with it.
@@islombekmirsalimov3185 Hello there. Well, 3 months after I bought my phone it was already at 99% and I was pissed about it. But now after almost 7 months it’s still stuck at 99% so I think this charging method is working for me.😁
Damn my apple 20w charges my 13pro stupid fast. I did a test a few weeks ago and didn’t start at zero like you did maybe that’s the reason it charged up so fast but this was my test. Started at 33% at 5:47pm. At 6:09pm I was at 67% charged. At 6:18pm I was at 76% charged and at 6:47pm the hour mark I was at 92% and that’s when I unplugged my phone and stopped taking screen shots. I only use the 20w for when I need a quick charge. Because it gets my iPhone 13pro hot when using it. And I use my 5w charger at night like you stated for the same reasons. Phone never even gets warm with the 5w charger. Even my iPad 12w charger doesn’t get the phone hot. But the 20w turns this thing into a mini heater lol
The thing with the 20W is kinda strange, because it said to charge from 0-50% for 30 minutes, and yes he is probably right about the 5W that it is the best option from the 3, at least if you charge your phone overnight. I'm with the 11 pro and I'm using the charger that came with the phone. 1 year and nearly 8 months and I have 91% battery health for a while now. Don't really want to go to the shop and replace it because in my country we don't have an APPLE shop, so yeah, they probably gonna cause more problems with the replacement and the other thing they guarantee would skip the adhesive.
It’s very concerning to me that the 20W charger took over 2 hours to charge from 0-100%. I also have a iPhone 13, and I use a 20W charger and it takes less than an hour to charge from 15-100% while watching videos for me and it still has 100% battery health. Not to mention it is capable of charging up to 50% within half an hour.
Well as you’ve seen in the video, the last ~15% of charge take 1 full hour of the 2hrs total… So the fact that you charge it from the last 15% make a lot of difference
I use 12w too but I do hope to get a 20W soon! After watching this, actually, I think I’ll stay with my 12W lol. The 20W is a little expensive and there’s no major difference.
12w is the ideal solution. Why? It maintains the phone temperature at mid level. High temperatures , I suspect, can cause plate separation in the boards. Hence, baseband issues
I have been charging and am charging with a 5w charge. The battery will last longer. By the way, it is not necessary to turn on the screen every time to check the charge level. You can configure automation so that the Iphone itself displays the current charge level, both visually and by voice.
how to make an automation without touching the display that would turn on the display and have a permanent or like every 10% a notification ? cos i've made a siri voice shortcut to warn me when the battery is full but i didn't knew about the display current charge level automation , thx .
Using an iPhone 11 and I always use the standard 5W charger because I rarely need to fast charge. If I do need to fast charge tho, I either use my 18W Apple Fast Charger or the 20W Anker Nano Pro but that depends entirely on how quickly I need to charge my iPhone before leaving. However, as of now, I’m trying to make use of Optimized Battery Charging over night to so, like I said, I use my 5W charger 99% of the time, especially at night now
It’s funny how people thinks that using 20w charger will damage your battery health at night, you guys need to understand how much technology have gone like the iPhone knows if its charging at night or not, when the iphone reaches 80% it will slow down the wattage it will receive so the phone can cool down and make less impact on the battery. I used my macbook charger to charge at night and when i wake up i saw my battery at 96% while the charger was switched on it learns when you will wake up and when to start charging again
I always charge when sleep, so 5w works fine. It feels safer cuz it doesnt get that hot. I have the 20w as well, but only using it if I need to fast-charge.
Using a 13 mini since Jan 2022, and had been using a 20W to charge. Battery health is at 96 percent. Just switched to 5W for charging overnight which should help slow down the drop in capacity.
I have 20W and I would recommend that if you go to school/collage or work because whenever I’m getting ready for school I put it on charge and after I’m done with everything I pick it up and then leave xx
I’ve always charged my iPhone XS with the 12w brick that came with my iPad. I usually do it overnight even tho you’re not supposed to with a higher wattage charger. My battery health is 78% after 4 years
I use the Belkin 3 n 1 magsafe for the 13 pro Max. Def not the healthiest for the battery but I have apple care so I don't mind changing the battery out whenever it's time. The convenience is worth it.
As of why the phone boots up different than expected (e.g. 20w -> 12w -> 5w) could be related to how long you leave the phone dead. The longer you leave it dead, the longer it takes before it boots back up. Just a piece of mind
I have an iPhone 11. I use the brick I got with my iPad (12W, I think?) to charge my phone during the day. I don’t anymore, but when I charged my phone overnight, I used the 5W charging brick
Why do some RUclipsrs and people I know personally say that’s optimized battery is good for battery health and others say it isn’t. Who the hell am I supposed to believe. I personally have it on, but it would be nice to actually know if it’s actually good or bad.
Optimized battery's purpose is slow down charging speed when iPhone is charging overnight at your home or other places you flag as "important". If you harge your phone when you're sleeping, you must set it on.
@@hazadoor alright! Yeah cuz I usually don’t let my phone go under 30%, and usually charge it up to 90% or 95%. And I was told that you should do if you have Optimized on.
I do charge my iPhone 13 mini with 5 W daily unless I need the fast charge immediately i charge with the 20 watt with iPhone 13 mini what I have noticed that 5 W charge very fast
Wired charging ftw! I mostly use the default 20W Apple charger for my iPad Air 4. I only use a 30W charger occasionally if I need my iPad to get charged fast 👍, but my iPad gets quite a bit warmer when charging at 30W because it uses a much higher voltage of 15V when charging at 30W versus just 9V at 20W. It barely gets warm charging at 20W and it isn’t too slow at 20W either for such a huge battery (54% charge in 1 hour)
I've used the Apple 61 watt charger and it charges fast for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I also use the charger to charge my USB-C capable laptops (PC) as it's more convenient to carry instead of it's native charger which is bulkier.
@Aeron It charges okay with the 61w charger. If the iPhone only supports 20w then it would've fried the phone with 61w charger already. It works it works. I also use the 61w charger for the iPad and it's charging okay also. I also use it to charge my Samsung phones and tablet.
Either go with 5W over night or 20W morning not 12 w .. cuz 12 w makes yu uncomfortable and intermittent charging destroys battery health like crazy. Once you charge full use it till 5% or so then full charge then drain. This is pattern don’t do intermittent charging it’s more danger than fast charging
I love the 5w block I use them for my Apple watch’s and I use a 10W block from apple from 2013 I got with my iPad Air 1 and I use it on my iPhone 13 pro Max and iPad mini 6 and it takes 2 hours and 45 minutes on my iPhone on airplane mode and even longer for the iPad mini but not much
Idk if you don't think like me, my old 10W block takes 2-3 hours, just to charge an iPhone 11 Pro Max, i think it too slow for an iPhone 11, don't you think that ?
The best one is the one with the lowest wattage. It creates less heat while changing and stresses the battery cells way less. So it’s the 5 W in that case. If you additionally manage to keep your charge always between 30% and 80%, as well as keeping it away from heat sources - your battery will last forever.
@@Slash18622 hey so even if i use 20watt its still ok? (i always keep around 30-90) and always check heat source like everytime i charge always make sure it was cold
@@jaredvincent2317 it‘s ok what ever you like to do. I don‘t judge it by any means. Officially Apple said all new iPhones support fast charging, additional to that they sell faster chargers. So it‘s fine. My point is, even with this given - the 5 Watt charger still is the „healthiest“ way to charge the devices.

I haven’t got an iPhone but I used to charge my device with the.. supercharger it came with? If that what it’s called. Extremely fast charging... After reading about the effects on the battery’s longevity I switched to a regular type-C brick and almost never charge it over 80-85%. Third year in, battery is holding up incredibly well. Absolutely no complaints.
You give a good tips to save the battery's health, but then you're telling me you charge your phone at night... This is the worse part, even with optimized charging. Here's a tip: Charge your phone before going to bed, and leave it unplugged during the night, and plug it back in in the morning, to reach the 100% mark. This is the best way for you to do it. Also, do not let your phone reach 0% charge. Great video, tho! Keep it up!
Most annoying things about using a fast charger on iOS is that when it reaches 80% it automatically slows down the charging speed significantly probably to like 5w so it just takes forever to reach 100 cause there’s no way you can remove the limit so ugh ye
Почему ходишь с таким старым устройством ? Даже у нас в России уже очень сложно встретить кого-либо с 6s, несмотря на уровень жизни, который сильно отличается и значительно более высокие цены на технику apple

I always use 5 watts. I have one 20 watts for travel, in case charging time is limited. A small additional battery does wonders if you unexpectedly have to use energy gobblers such as GPS.
I don't charge overnight. I have this fear it will explode, cause a fire. When we have get togethers, when everybody is asleep, I unplugged all their chargers. In the morning, I'm the 1st to wake up to plug it all again so they would not know. By the time they wake up, their gadgets are fully charged. 😅
i use the 12w as far as i'm aware???? i only charge at night before i go to bed and take it off the charger before going to sleep and i constantly pray that i don't damage my battery
sorry but you said a big mistake , cos i know for sure that the 13 pro max and i assume the rest of the line up can charge at up to 27 Watts... are u sure the regular 3 is limited to 20 Watts ???
The 20W should be alot faster, I suspect that the cable you are using can only deliver something like 15W because that would explain the minor difference between 20W and 12W
My primary charger is a Qi charger at 5w. It supports 7.5, but it’s just on a 5w brick. I also sometimes charge on a 10w iPad brick, but that’s really just because it’s got an extension on the brick so it’s easier to use on the couch
Nobody was/is using a 5W charger. The 30W charger is made for the Ipad pro. I always used the ipad charger with 12W, but now only rely on standardized 65/90/100W PD chargers, because Apple is compatible now and devices draw the power they need and the manufacturer has allowed and planned.

@@BLAISEDAHL96how is it going?
"The lower the wattage the better it is for battery health"
Unfortunately, that's not always the case.

I have been charging my 5 years old iPad from low battery to full all the time. And the battery still holds for at least 8 hours of heavy usage.

MagSafe charger with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it’s still at 100% battery health. I don’t think wirelessly charging your iPhone degrades the battery that much that you need to worry about using a wired charger instead. Also, I did use the Apple branded 20 watt power adapter with the MagSafe charger. iPhone and Samsung don't support super fast charging like 67/80 watt or 120/150 watt or even 200+ watts because it's bad for your battery health especially 200 watt you might be able to use your phone at most 1 year I heard my dad has an iphone 11 he bought in November of 2019 it still gives him enough backup the processor is really good and he has no complaints except the software he never got his battery replaced and it's at 73% battery health both iphones and Samsung don't have ultra fast charging because they are made for longevity but iPhone is better for longevity just compare a Samsung 21 to iphone 12 the iPhone dominates its not even close iPhones have really good hardware but i prefer Android software iphones are really optimised too iPhone 12 has I think 2700-2800 mah battery but it beats some 5000 mah battery phones I mainly want a phone for gaming and my current Android phone works phone for normal games but genshin is on a whole another level it needs a LOT of performance even a sd 8 gen 2 shows overclocked at high settings 30 fps but iPhone 11 and up have high settings 30 fps at default because genshin is really optimised on iPhone it can even run 120 fps which even a pc can't do even a 2.5 yr old iPhone 13 pro can do 120 fps if you play genshin then you know sometimes you need to collect regional specialities which dont show on the map and you gotta go to RUclips but on Android phones you can split screen and do both at same time but split screen isn't available in iPhone and when you spend more than 30 seconds outside of game, it disconnects i only want an iphone for playing genshin impact and longevity as I'm a kid so i cant afford my own phone the phone I currently use is oppo f23 which costs $250 but my dad decided that he can stretch the budget to $625 because this one doesn't have enough performance and he thinks that instead of buying a budget phone and switching in 2-3 yrs, i can buy a more expensive phone and keep it for 5-6 yrs instead he also has an iphone 11 and i tested the performance and it's really good on 11 but his one has 128 gb storage it has lcd, 720p, doesn't have magsafe and not that good of a battery so I'm thinking I will buy an iphone 13 256gb in sale for about $550 and have enough for adapter and a case
It Will have oled, 2k screen resolution, magsafe and a much bigger battery also iPhone 13 has a15 bionic but 11 has a13 bionic so the a13 might not be a good processor in a few years but a15 definitely will be but magsafe charging is really slow about 4 hrs for 100% battery so I will just use it incase I need a power bank as prefer wireless/magsafe more than wireless charging as it much more convenient but it gets hot quickly and is really slow oh yeah I forgot to mention the sale in October so sadly I have to wait to buy it I was thinking abt buying a12 before but I thought I will just buy a 13 so it lasts longer both in battery and the years I use it but which which one do you prefer iPhone or Android? My cousin used to have an iphone x but he switched to a Samsung galaxy a14 idk why tho maybe because it's newer and everyone else in his family also uses iPhone if I remember correctly his mom uses an iphone 12, his dad uses a13 and his grandma I think 8, 8 plus or something old like that
It would be perfect if I could have split screen and pip on iPhone that's the only thing I don't like about it well that's all idk why I yapped so much
As you can see, this was a good video. As you can see, it was very informative. LOL. No really, it was good. Thank you for doing this. I was also surprised with the out come.
I use 5w and charge at night and the phone runs for the full day
Great video. Always use 5W charger. Better for battery health.
Life is too short for me to use the 5w and waste my time waiting. Despite the heat as others mentioned, I’d just live my life normally, work and spend money on new battery.
Basically I only charge my iphone 7 & 11 with 5W. Thanks for sharing!
I see my 12pro's battery health is now at 91%( in just 9 months 😔), I am using 20w charger everytime, since march. My observation is it has direct heavy impact on battery due to the heat produced. Now I started using my 5w charger whenever possible. Any suggestions from anyone are welcome.
your scarring me ive been using my iphone 13 on the 20 watt charger since day one that the 13 came out 😟
@@Snowyy78 Just my observations bro.! Better late than never😄. My advice 5w when not in hurry.
@@shine7835 Totally agreed, My point is comparing 5w and the 20w side by side and having all best practices followed all over, 20w depletes battery faster.
Quality 3 a.m. content
Bro the 5w is the equivalent of a 20w on iPad💀
These video really make my day
It's not recommended to charge your phone over night to 100% as it reduces the longevity of the battery.
I have a 13pro and also use a 5w at night or a slow wireless charger for battery longevity as well. I use a anker nano 20w or my iPad Pro charger for when I need a quick charger before I go out for an evening or need a quick bump.
my Huwei P30 from 2019 could charge with 33watts. a fuc**ing One Plus Nord 2, a 400$ Phone charges with 65 Watts.
Good Job Apple :)
LMAOOOOOO
My OnePlus 8 fully charged at around 45mins with the 30 Watts charger which you don't have to buy separately. :)
Yup and in 2 years you can trash your battery
@@Slash18622 And what about the iphone users with 5-10 watt chargers? 90-85 % battery capacity after 12 months of use.
My 2 year+ old Huawei P30 still lasts me day of traveling- with lots of video recording, photo shooting and watching prime on the go🤔
Dont use your phone while its charging, dont charge it overnight and your battery will have a long healthy life- even with fast charging enabled
@@hasnu4145 my dad has an iphone 11 he bought it at launch of after 1 month the battery is still 73% he never got it replaced
I use 15w wireless charging and I’m happy with it. I also have a 20w portable plug in charger for emergencies
Even 2 Hours looks Painful.
Well, I have an Android Phone as my
Primary Device at it Charges within
40 Mins. 😊👍🏽

Currently I’m using 20watt is it better to use 12watt for longer battery performance?
Android users laughing in the corner 🤣🤣
But ios is better
No Android is best
I have both ios and android but I still love ios for their fluidity
I always use 5 watts. I have one 20 watts for travel, in case charging time is limited. A small additional battery does wonders if you unexpectedly have to use energy gobblers such as GPS.
I don't charge overnight. I have this fear it will explode, cause a fire. When we have get togethers, when everybody is asleep, I unplugged all their chargers. In the morning, I'm the 1st to wake up to plug it all again so they would not know. By the time they wake up, their gadgets are fully charged. 😅
I use 5 watts for my iPhone 7 and 10/5/12 watts for my iPad Mini 5. Both are wired of course.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. It was really interesting. I actually have an iPhone 13 and use a 20W wire charger and works perfect for me :)
Does it get hot while charging?
how much time it takes to get fully charge??
@@silviagongolo3159 sometimes, it depends if it has low battery
@@sujeelaw4 about an hour, it's really quick for me
Hi! Can i ask how was your battery health after 4 months?
i use the 12w as far as i'm aware???? i only charge at night before i go to bed and take it off the charger before going to sleep and i constantly pray that i don't damage my battery
i used a fast charger for my last phone and it ended up dealing a lot of damage to it's battery, so now i'm extra careful
Is it 12w good deal? How long does it take from 20 - 80%?
I love my phone, it is not expensive, it charges in 30 minutes, and its screen is super AMOLED 🥰🥰🥰
Hello, does the higher power adapter reduce the battery life of the device?
5w charger too slow . Please do iPhone 13 pro max use 5w 🤣
i think need charge about 4 hour 😂
does 5W is better than the 20W in terms of preserving battery health? please answer me i really need an answer.. thanks
sorry but you said a big mistake , cos i know for sure that the 13 pro max and i assume the rest of the line up can charge at up to 27 Watts... are u sure the regular 3 is limited to 20 Watts ???
going from just 5watt to even just 10 watt charger makes big difference
The 20W should be alot faster, I suspect that the cable you are using can only deliver something like 15W because that would explain the minor difference between 20W and 12W
please advise is it good to use wireless charger everyday for iphone 13 pro max
My primary charger is a Qi charger at 5w. It supports 7.5, but it’s just on a 5w brick. I also sometimes charge on a 10w iPad brick, but that’s really just because it’s got an extension on the brick so it’s easier to use on the couch
Nobody was/is using a 5W charger. The 30W charger is made for the Ipad pro. I always used the ipad charger with 12W, but now only rely on standardized 65/90/100W PD chargers, because Apple is compatible now and devices draw the power they need and the manufacturer has allowed and planned.
