All of my 1st gen Road Rippers (1997 to 2004 oldest to newest) surprisingly don't have capacitor issues. My 2002 ICB '03 dodge viper (the red one) has a strong capacitor.
It's just the pitch, it plays a small factor in the speed of the audio. If its high pitched the speed of the audio will be the same gain as the pitch and vice versa for when the vehicle is low pitched.

I still don’t get why they sped the second song up so much. That’s almost double the speed of the real thing.
