I am new to the Home theater world, I just got rid of my Soundbar and going into a traditional Home Theater system, Am purchasing the Home theater mostly for movies and occasionally music, Am torn between the Definitely technology BP9060 tower speakers with the Definitely technology Cs9080 Center Speaker and the Definitely technology A90 Dolby Atmos height speakers, Or this Focal Chora 826-d with the Focal Chora center speaker, Any recommendations?
Wow!!!!! I've been searching and searching for 3 weeks now trying to find that right speakers for me. That screams my name!!! And I found these and what do you know I find you guys here with this video. I didn't think no one had found these but me!!! I was going to show you guys after I got them. There's no other!!!! In comparison !!!! 🤐😁
Planning of pairing the Focal 826-D with Yamaha RX-A1080 both for movies & stereo reproduction ? Do you still think that Focal's "ATMOS bouncing" is OK and/or equivalent to real ATMOS speakers on your front wall? Or should I go with the traditional towers + front wall mounted real ATMOS speakers ? I do need help... Please ?
So 4 chora 826-d : (2 front+2back) And 2 chora on wall type put on the sides....sounds great i have 5 aperion intimusT and i think im adding 2 chora826d plus 2chora on wall
Damn I really want this. I want a great home theater system, and I love the Focal brand. I’m just not sure about having towers like this all over my living room, have to think that over
Joe N Tell thanks for your reply. I would use Atmos in movies. Front Chora-826D would use with turntable and in stereo....when in mood for some good music. The plan is to fo for Denon X4700h and with external amps (Denon would be as processor).....! Just as with rear, I don’t know what would be substitute.....
I think only you can decide that for yourself. I would say try it and see what you think. I think it also depends on what you were running the UB5's with. Performance varies depending on the amp used.
@@nurbsenvi I think the UB5 is a better speaker considering it's a 3-way concentric design. No doubt about that. I don't even think the guys at Fluance would argue that. The sealed Ai40's do have an advantage compared to the rear port on the UB5's if you have them close to a wall. They also apply DSP to get a really flat response. Just consider that the Ai40's are less than half the price of a pair of UB5's when they're regular price and the Ai40's come with an amplifier. That should say something. If you have realistic expectations of the Ai40's I think you'll be surprised.
Hi Joe, have you ever though about making an app that can display frequency response of all the speakers you tested? Possibly with ability to display multiple graphs at once on top of each other. Maybe on a website even and get some Ad revenue
I really love focal, but i always want to try new brands and i’ve already had focals hahaha. But very curious about these especially since they are only 3k a pair

sounds nice. is there a place where you can download such demos?
Most downloads don't work, but you can email me for assistance - technodad55 at gmail
Is it necessary (for Atmos) to use a rear Chora-826 D ? What would be a substitute!? Maybe Chora 806 bookshelf with.....what? Tnx for reply
You don't need to use Atmos if you don't want to.

Focal Chora 826 better than HECO Elementa 700 ?
Hi Joe love your channel, a quick question if I may. I am downgrading from UB5 to AI40 due to space issues on my desktop, am I sacrificing too much?
I think only you can decide that for yourself. I would say try it and see what you think. I think it also depends on what you were running the UB5's with. Performance varies depending on the amp used.
@@joentell Thanks for the reply. I should have asked which one is the better near field speaker.
