This whole GVF was a weird experience for me. I'd never heard of them until I got this album as a gift and I thought it was just, strange, but also I was pretty sure I liked it. I compared it to a "Cher cover of Thunderstruck", but after a few listens and re-listens, it's one of my favorite albums and GVF is one of my favorite bands, and Stardust Chords is one of my favorite songs.

This is going to sound weird. But stardust chord takes me on a rollercoaster emotionally. Disneyland in the early 2000’s on space mountain was my absolute favorite. The intro to the sound intentionally is supposed to sound galactic. Then the beat kicks in and it’s like the coaster is moving, I get chills every time I hear this song. I get what you’re saying with the intro and body of the song not fitting, but for me, that’s what makes the song.

Stardust Chords will definitely grow on you after a couple of listens, the Chorus and melodies will get into you.

When you get through the album, and have a chance to come up for air, do take some time to enjoy the Candleight Sessions. Those live performances are exquisite.

It's funny because I think that "My Way, Soon" is the one that I think sounds more like a throwback to their previous work, not this one.

That could potencially change, it was a 7 for me the first time, and I dont know what happened the second time that I heard it but it went from 7 to 9 all of a sudden, still good reaction and analysis

It's okay to not like everything your favorite artist makes.

I mean I get why you wouldn't want to see them live. But I think they have grown a lot over the years. And I think some of the live performances are worth a listen.

I do want to see them live I've just seen some poor performances but a few bands were like that in their early days. It's obvious they have grown a lot as artists and I would love to see them now. I had tickets to see them 3 years ago but at the time I had grown sick of their first album so decided not to go and sold the tickets instead (as I also needed cash at the time 😂) but it's clear now that they are at another level and would definitely see them if they came around again

@@ZEPCASTS i definately agree, he had raw talent with his voice but scuffed a couple of performences. But recently has been obvious the control of his voice and technical skill developement. That opinion has changed in my mind.

@@AngelRodriguez-ty4ki don't get me wrong I do think they are good now. I just think maybe as a group they were thrown into the deep end way to early in terms of fame that they weren't ready for performance wise. Like the led Zeppelin comparison just threw them on things like SNL where they were clearly nervous as hell on. Now that they attention is off them a bit in terms of mainstream they are really growing as performers

@@ZEPCASTS agreed, I also think more income means affording proffesional voice coaches. Which helped in freddie mercury’s case for example. Simply because I feel they all did well his voice just wasn’t always there

@@ZEPCASTS watch their Red Rocks concert, that concert is what makes me want to see them live so badly.
