It's been said before, but it's worth repeating: the bassline is SICK! The album version of this song is great, but the live performance is unbelievable!
These guys definitely bring something different (and better) to the table than all of those disingenuous label-made acts. They always nail their live shows too. ...The music world needs more Mutemaths.
I'm actually not fan of hip hop and I know MuteMath can be more energic that this, but what I lovea bout those guys is that they are extremely experimental! Think about it! Their music is called alternative electro rock, but then this! Amazing! Keep it up guys!! But don't forget the energy.. It is the best! God bless ya
yeah roy is a beast on the bass,, and i love how greg is not ever doing anything complicated,, but he plays the most simple yet amazing riffs on guitar,, through a mix of vintage guitars, delay pedals and good ol fashioned tube distortion
So much style, so much originality, so much MuteMath! I love MuteMath! Roy's a freakin' beast, Darren King is king of the drums, Greg's keeps the guitar simple yet full of flavor, and Paul Meany should be nicknamed "Paul Meaningful."
That's just how the live Armistice goes, I believe. I don't think the jam is something separate. I completely agree though, it's an amazing jam that gets stuck in my head so easily.
@HighFivesForGod most bands that get mainstream change their music because of their record label... but if they get mainstream and dont change, id still be in love with MUTEMATH
I love the fact that you're back sharing your awesome music with us. The copyright stuff during the album release was getting too excessive. I was having trouble finding your music anywhere and it was frustrating.
If your wondering why this doesn't have as much energy as the old tour. Its probably because this is a new set of songs that the band has just got around to play live And id say this is an amazing performance with them just having come out with these songs live. I cant wait to see the Progress. (No Pun)
for all you guys who dig the bass playing... and it is wicked... check out these albums for something similar: Jaco Pastorius - Jaco Pastorius Tower of Power - Soul Vaccination: Live
Probably because that end of the stick is easier to roll being that its heavier. Also it gives the snare a deeper tone (if its the head is tight enough).
I agree jamie - but you can't pay a brass section to travel around with you for one song. I miss the horns too - but this IS a great live version. Great stuff!
that bass line doe....
let's all do the music world a favor by promoting #mutemath!
It's been said before, but it's worth repeating: the bassline is SICK! The album version of this song is great, but the live performance is unbelievable!
