If you're going to look at some of the "best" BMW racing cars why skip over the best: E36 M3 GTR? The most winning Motorsport car they've had which completely dominated Porsche in the late 90s. From 95-99, the E36 M3 GTR won 96, 97, twice in 1998, and 1999 ALMS. And I'm not including driver's titles, podiums etc.... Over a 60% win ratio. A feat that will likely never happen again. And that's at a time when ///M owners could actually relate to the race car. Today we cannot say that since they are so modified and bear little resemblance to the street cars. Sad.
