Je suis Marocain et je suis heureux et malheureux en même temps. Je donnais le Sénégal favori pour la coupe mais visiblement, ce n'est pas écrit dans le destin.
Les deux équipes on bien joué mais j'ai l'impression que les Sénégalais ne voulaient pas trop se lâcher sur les Ivoiriens et pensaient s'en sortir avec un seul but.
Je ne sais pas si c'était pour ménager les sentiments du peuple Ivoirien ou si c'est par arrogance, mais c'était une mauvaise décision.

Yea but Senegal has been the best team for a while. They had been to the finals back to back for the last 2 AFCONS so I expected them to win this game too.
Fully deserved by Ivory Coast, which in and of itself is madness considering how poor they have been in the group stages. Incredible that Ivory Coast is in the quarter finals after almost getting knocked out entirely in the group stage. Senegal, on the other hand, were incredibly disappointing . They scored, and then just started defending thinking they're prime Italy. With their group of players they should've wiped the floor with Ivory Coast. But Senegal played with a certain complacency, arrogance even. Senegal assumed one goal would be enough to win it so they stopped trying/forgot to score more.

Ivory Coast seems to have been something that made this team Senegal’s kryptonite, never lost in any single competitive match at all (5W, 2D). Senegal terrified every African nation now, yet Ivory Coast made Senegal look timid.

There was offside by Pepe from that missed control, they should go to VAR not only for the penalty but also to check for offside but they did not care about the offside and we know why.... Senegal had a clear penalty shout by ref never bothered to go check the VAR so there you have it!!

@allnews8141 in the last match of group stages, Morocco had already qualify as number 1 without kicking a ball, so they still played a strong team and won against Zambia, if Zambia had got a point in that game, they would be having good goal difference than Ivory Coast thus disqualifying them, if Zambia had Qualify, Senegal would have beaten them easily, so Morrocans saw the host as the only team that could match Senagal
