Recorded in the 90’s, released in the 2000’s, then re-released 20 years later…. and it fits every era of music so well that you wouldn’t be able to tell when it came out if you didn’t already know. I really wish we had the chance to witness what she would’ve done in the future. 😔
True all of these tragic moments in history 🥀 Left eye and Aaliyah and every single one of the people in the twin towers didn't deserve to leave like that😫
VOCALS. VOCALS. VOCALS. This was Aaliyah’s everlasting entry into the vocal hall of fame. Every singer hopes they make a standard such as this. Not everybody has that.
Everything happens for a reason I believe it was better suited on the third album especially with all the themes involved on the album and then her untimely passing. 💔
I must admit if this would've hit on One I'm A million Album it would tore people up ....that album already was 🔥 just imagine .....but as @Gregory Harvard said things happens for a reason
Missy Elliott on the pen, Timbaland on the soundboard & Aaliyah on the mic. To know this was originally composed in 1996 and revisited 5 years later in 2001 on her final album speaks how powerful Babygirl's mind is. Makes me wonder if that's what inspired Missy to do that same trick in her own discography. R.I.P. Aaliyah.
Right I miss Aaliyah and rock the boat was originally a 90 song too they waited until she was older to release it but it was already recorded🥰 in the 90s I just love every song from Aaliyah and to just hear her voice on a song makes my day Her Voice keeps me calm when I'm aggravated at times by idiots throughout the day🥺😩
This is her best vocally so far as album cuts 😍😍😍 i can imagine her singing this live and just giving us a moments ugh i wish she was here it’s just not fair 😢

Picture it, a dude is walking in the rain trying his hardest not 2 cry cuz his girl just dumped him, Aaliyah sees him, approaches him singing this song 2 him & she lifts his spirits up & goes home with Aaliyah with a smile on his face. That should be the plot 2 the video.
If your a man..And you just sit there. And pretend she is singing this to you. It will do it for you every time especially if you're single. She has the voice of an angel. She was and is a star.
Look, I know this song’s feel is a resemblance to comforting someone over a breakup or even a divorce. But to me, it feels like Aaliyah was telling us to not cry because she’s no longer with us, she’s telling us to be happy that her music will always remain in our hearts. You made a fine comfort song Aaliyah. May you Rest In Peace.
This song is so nostalgic and timeless. It was and is still so very beautiful and I'm so happy that the younger generation gets a chance to hear how beautiful her voice was. Aaliyah will always be one of the best that ever did it. Continue to Rest Peacefully!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
YES QUEEN!!! This song is the most beautiful in your discography Aaliyah!!! Thank you for creating this phenomenal masterpiece!!! You truly are ROYALTY Baby Girl!!!
I never cried as hard in my life as I did the day we lost Aaliyah . I never thought I''d cry ove someone I never got the chance or the opprtunkity to even meet . She was beautiful inside and out and extremely talented . She was only 10 months older than me . She was born January 16 1979 I'm November 28 1979. So yeah needless to say this onr I'll NEVER get over
You are not alone I also cried so much that day and I still do when I listen I care 4 u. Aaliyah was about to take control of the entire entertainment world what a loss she is irreplaceable 😓
Just curious. How has her music become more publicly available? She was a star at 14 and I had access to all of her music since she dropped her first single.

This really could be a "going home for the holidays" type of jam when I think about it after watching this visualizer. Especially if it involves a long distance love. Words cannot fully describe how intriguing @Blunt_Action's visuals are, their creations are incredible!

One of my favorite Aaliyah songs, and I just love the way they are editing these visualizers, so easy on the eye, so angelic, and really respresents her, her voice is mesmerizing on this song
I literally discovered Aaliyah in the wake of Surving R. Kelly, and it really hit home because I can related to many of their experiences. I am doing an assignment for university about this song and as I get to know her better I feel this deep grief that is much more profound then when Michael Jackson died who was the only other artist I grieved.
