    1. Sodium hydroxide will destroy the glasses.Use plastic bottles.
2.sodium hydroxide is a kind of strong alkaline that can seriously damaged to skin.so do not touch.
3.The reactions between NaOH and Al will produce large amount of heat that can causes explosion.keep the bottle in water container to control the heat.it will prevent the explosion.
4.Hydrogen gas is known as the highly explosive gas.better to do it at open area and away from flames.
If you do it proper way you will have a fun with baloon.if it is not you can have a fun with small bomb.

As others have said, not a fantastic idea. The drain cleaner mix gets very hot, can break the glass. Also, you get a heap of drain cleaner vapour in the balloon which not only makes it harder to float, when it pops, everybody ends up breathing drain cleaner. Also, hard to stop the reaction in the bottle so you get heaps of toxic steam pouring out. Do this in the open, not in your house and use PPE. Better methods exists where the gas is bubbled through a water bath to remove the drain cleaner.

Yeah, there was a guy back in the late 80s early 90s that got in trouble for showing ppl who watched his late late night (as in 2am) public access show this chemical reaction, in a segment he jokingly called "Kids, Try this at Home". Only difference is he did it in a plastic soda bottle, put the cap back on it, and tossed it in his backyard. What got him in trouble you ask? Well, apparently a few kids, who were up well past their bed times, took the segment title literally and tried it. One kid did it in the living room of their house, and another tossed one in the front yard of their friend's police officer neighbor. The adults involved in both incidents, after finding out where the kids learned this "experiment" contacted the local cable company and the local news to complain about the show, the cable company in turned contacted the guy threatening to ban his show unless he agreed to change his content or have his show aired later and on varying days
