@@lanedelong3355 Don't forget good ole assault intercessors(sp?). Saw a full man unit with a foot blood chaplin guy and the once a game fight first do great work.
As i understand i many fraction taking a unit to buff their leaders happens but for Necrons only viable version of this is taking a 3-man Skorpekh Destryoer unit to buff the Skorpekh Lord. UMO 99% of the Necron codexs leaders är buffing in nature and lack the amount of attacks required to warrant a mim size unit just to buff them. (Overlord with 5 immortals come close but fall short due to the Overlords 3 attacks, possibly with the Tachyon Arrow for reroll to wound...)
It's notnwvery army or every unit it's some units yes but we have been looking into it with some units and codex. We where specificly talking about the BA character Lane was using and how hard he hit because he had reroll wounds
Driving to work thinking about how k explained that....so it's definetly not the first choice to go to with characters and units...but lane and myself have started to go back and look at some bad units with good abilities again in a new light. The best example is imperial agents breachers there ability is great but load out is not so good....when you attach draxus or an inquisitor there shooting becomes deadly with the breachers ability. So thay a scenario where we are taking the unit to buff the character. Hopefully that's more clear. Your right that necrons really don't use that type of tech very much but it is a happy bonus when you have reroll wounds with and overlord who has dev wounds in combat.
@@timmsnation723yea i get your point, and for agent there might be very good play! Can Draxus join anything cool? It is common after all to ise her in custodes to gain access to awesome shooting!
When she is with the breachers she gains battle line perks (if applicable in game) but mostly the breachers have reroll 1s to wound OR reroll all wounds vs unit on objectives...she just shredds with the dev wounds
Try jpi with chappy are really good... Or msu jDC with chappy are good 220 pts for a unit that can kill any infantry... And a Big brick termys speed Primark or BGV chappy Speed Primark on an impulsor with that strat that gives +1A or +1S when charged... jDC + astorath its cheap and hit to hard... Also meephiston and sanguinor ar the BEST lone ops... Pretadors and ballistus are awsome... A convination of 3 or 4
JPI are an obvious choice that will be in my competitive list for sure. I like a 10 man JPI brick with the jump captain. He gives them +1 S so combined with LAG the chainswords get up to S7, crossing an important breaking point when attacking T12 stuff. With lance strat even chainswords would be wounding T12 units on 4’s.
My understanding of current BAs: Two melee bricks. Some anti armor shooting. Fill out with trash/MSU.
But there are soooooooo many melee units I want to try in BA. Aggressors, blade guard, DC, etc. It’s so hard to choose which one.

And for that variant the overlords overlord blade is 4 attacks if thay mattered at all. Not trying tk be that guy just tossing it out there.
