It seems like Max noticed the camera around 17 seconds. Around 30 second he grabs a beakful of paper and drops it with purpose as he looks at the camera. He's so funny!
Max is destruction 100 for sure
But you know what’s really funny is that when Dan puts his head out and says spit it out he always does exactly as he’s told and I think that sort of cements the father son relationship spit it out and Max absolutely listens to what he’s told
Max does more with his beak and tongue before 9 AM than most people do all day!

I was just sent maroon 5- children singing "memories" for the covid done several months ago and looked up lyrics. Singing along. Check it out you tube. He starts his day making messes! LOL Oh, and making kindling for you to sell! LOL Max you have the best dad possible to have. He gets you all sorts of things to keep you "completely occupied" (a line from how to lose a guy in 10 days) and he cleans up after you. It still amazes me how strong those beaks are on parrots, glad the are sticks and not fingers or toes!

And they just love splitting and chewing things! Keeps their beak in shape.

Is cedar wood bad for parrots ? I know of a lot things that are bad for them (chocolate, avocadoes, teflon cookware...) but I don't think I heard anything on cedar wood.

Personally I think you are a glutton for punishment giving that kind of stuff to Max to make such a mess.
When parrots have their own blocks of special wood to chew, they won't chew on doors, wall trim or furniture. They chew lots of wood in the wild, being up in trees most of the time. I'll bet Dan does a lot of sweeping in there.

Wake Dan up nice and early. Eat breakfast.
Do some interior decorating.
Fill order for kindling.
Get lippy when it's time for me to go back into my cage. Find ways to stall going back in.
Come out of cage at lunch and drive Dan Crazy.
Get lippy once more before going back into cage.
Come out of cage after Dan is done work. Drive him crazy, eat, have carrot juice, decorate, bug Snoopy. Destroy things. Fill another kindling order. Make sure Dan takes his shower.
Get lippy before bed.

Debbie, this is just ***wonderful. I read it twice. Our ambitious, hard working sweetheart does have such a work ethic. Come rain, sun, snow, warm or cold weather... our boy puts his beak to the grindstone and tends to business. I wish I had that enthusiasm with chores I undertake... We humans, no doubt, used to be like that, but somehow, someway we sort of got off track in certain ways, which is why I love having nature around me so much.
