Roberta is so good at making details a priority. Both of you are good at never saying “oh that’s good enough “. I am a person that when I repair something I do so it is as good or ether than new.
I have watched your channel from way back when you were working on your shipping container. But I have to say I really enjoy this boat restore. Due to such tight spaces you guys are folding and contorting yourself into a pretzel. No need for yoga classes , I am 74 years old and just don't remember when I was that flexible. Your dedication and always up beat attitude make me smile. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the day you set sail for the open ocean.
Well, I randomly happened upon your channel about two weeks ago, started watching, and I've been binging ever since. Now I've come to the last episode and I have to say you have me hooked. I really love watching you two go through all the trials and tribulations of refitting your boat, but what I appreciate most of all is that you're not only doing the work that has to be done, you're taking the time to do the work that should be done as well. I grew up helping a father that was a marine mechanic, so not only am I impressed with the work you're doing, but with the fact that you're willing to do so much of it yourself, even if it is for the first time. Removing the oil filled stern tube was the best example so far of being willing to dive into the unknown to see what would come out the other side. I am not one of those viewers who is urging you to put the boat back in the water and hoist the sails. I'd much rather you find all the things that you'd like to replace, repair, or refine first and then, and only then, re-splash the boat and get the heck out of that marina. Thank you for entertaining me as much as you have over these past two weeks and I will now look forward to Monday's for the first time in a long time!!
Every time I watch you two I am more and more impressed. You both work hard as a team and individually. You both share an equal part of the work and you are kind to one another. Well done on completing another project on your boat. Just that one project will help you to have many trouble free years with your boat. Well done Duca and Roberta. Well done.
You are very welcome both of you. I can’t wait to see the boat and the smile on Roberta’s face when you are all finished and can go do some serious sailing.
I commend you both on not getting swept up in the excitement of having the boat back on the water and still doing a very thorough job on the remaining aspects. This will be well worthwhile in the long run and its looking better than I could have ever imagined.
It's nice to see the two of you working hard together and in good humor. Stay this way! :-) All the best to both. Remain strong, together and embracing the challenges w/ an open heart.
Your attention to detail and your overall mantra of "do it once, do it well" is always refreshing👍👍👍 There are a couple of other sailing channels I follow (which I also enjoy immensely BTW) however everything is always done half arsed, lazily and in a rush and it is so frustrating to witness - They should drop by into your channel to see how things should be done - You guys will be sailing stress and problem free for a very long time, bravo !!!!
Thanks a lot for walking us through your great Life project! It has been a great pleasure to follow you so far and we can’t wait to see you leasing for the great adventure
Hi guys!! I've missed your last few episodes. Not only is the old boat looking superb but I detect a new on camera confidence in lovely Roberta and greater humility in Duca. Love it. Happy Valentine's Day. 💖☺️💪
The prep work you put into everything you do is admirable. I know I don't have the patience 🤣 this was a super satisfying video. See you next Monday! ⛵
Nothing more satisfying than a beautiful bright white paint job! Another lovely video, I particularly enjoyed the cinematography and editing of this video as well.
I’m impressed that you acknowledge your limitations when you stated that you’re having experienced technicians install the engine. You’ve undertaken so many challenging projects but even with both of your backgrounds in engineering you know when it’s prudent to let experienced personnel handle the installation of critical components.
@@merlars that’s surprising then. They don’t seem to be very mechanically inclined . I’m not hating I just have never seen just the two of them doing much besides taking stuff apart. Usually they have to have help with everything technical. But now I know they have a degree.

From engine room to dining room? You're doing a great job! Odd waited a whole lifetime for someone to find her and love her like the two of you. Now all three of you are happy. It's very cool.
I'm starting to think that you two are simply happier just working on your boat. Making me anxious to see you actually seeing your world from a slant...
I haven't dropped in for a long time. Now I see you have the engine out and are repainting the engine bay (room). I am starting to wonder if you even want to go sailing.
Long time back, I watched the container home videos and loved what you two did with that space. Seeing your efforts and thoughtful diligence with this restoration... you two guys are just an amazing couple. Nice work!
What a transformation... and yeah, after doing all that work on the rest of the bilge, tanks and everywhere else, the engine bilge must have been driving you nuts. Pretty excited to see the new engine in there! Great work as always and thanks for sharing your journey!

Glad we like this part of living in a boat, hehe. Living in a boat full time also means you are gonna need to fix things and we do think it's fun.
So... when are we changing the channel name to Odd Life Sailing?
A job worth doing is a job worth doing right! !! Another good job you guys. 😎
Thanks 👍
You tell him Roberta, stop talking and start painting!!!
😊
Great job guys always nice to have a showplace engine room
Thanks 😊
I haven't dropped in for a long time. Now I see you have the engine out and are repainting the engine bay (room). I am starting to wonder if you even want to go sailing.
Really looks great and know you are ready for the new engine.
😊
q: how many girls are willing to clean and paint an engine room?
a: approx. one per 3 billion
And bare footed nonetheless
Long time back, I watched the container home videos and loved what you two did with that space. Seeing your efforts and thoughtful diligence with this restoration... you two guys are just an amazing couple. Nice work!
Thanks so much!
Wear gloves when handling acetone. Acetone can and will be absorbed through the skin.
Nail varnish remover contains Acetone. I think the worst is maybe take the oils out of the outer layer of your skin.
What a transformation... and yeah, after doing all that work on the rest of the bilge, tanks and everywhere else, the engine bilge must have been driving you nuts. Pretty excited to see the new engine in there! Great work as always and thanks for sharing your journey!
Thanks, Greg😊
