If anyone is looking for an update, the deal DID close. The line is expanded into candles, sanitizers, bodywashes, apparel, etc. Curie is in Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie. So far it's a massive success.

All jokes aside on Barbara, watching her since the beginning of this show, she (along with Mark) mostly invests in people and not businesses. Comfy and Maine Lobsters are two best examples. She really loved both the entrepreneurs, and Comfy had no sales at all. I'm sure they will succeed together, even if this business fails one of them will hire her to oversee their other businesses. She was pretty impressive. I envy her confidence and tenacity

Hi everyone, this is Sarah, founder & CEO of Curie. Thank you all so much for the kind words! I wanted to come on here and answer some of the questions in the comment section:
1) We closed the deal with Barbara (the deal with Mark fell through during negotiations). Barbara has been absolutely amazing to work with.
2) I am definitely coming back on Shark Tank one day as a guest Shark!!!! Mark my words.
3) Curie has 4x'ed since Shark Tank and we're still growing. This show has had a profound impact on my life and I am so grateful.
4) I am aware there are other natural deodorants out there, but building a successful business is not always about being first, it's about being better (in fact, some of the most successful businesses in the world were NOT first to market, they just came out with a superior product).
5) I did NOT know I was going to be filming Shark Tank that day or I would not have gone for a hike! The producers called me when I was at the top of Griffith Park Observatory, covered in dirt, and gave me 2 hours to get to the studio to film. I did not make that up.

Update on the business - As of the first rerun date in July, 2022, there is no evidence the deal with Mark and Barbara has closed. The company is back in stock on its website and Amazon
This is false information from Rehan. She launched the product in Afghanistan and because the us army decided to exit the country, the Taliban hold her stock and they're trying to negotiate with them to get it back

I thought this one was kind of odd, because I learned about aluminum in antiperspirant many years ago. Anything you put on your skin doesn't just disappear; it's absorbed through the skin & winds up in your bloodstream & deposited in various organs. It always amazes me that folks generally don't understand that.
Aluminum is a big nope for me, so I switched to aluminum-free deodorant.
There are a few different brands of aluminum-free (and cruelty-free) deodorant that are a lot less expensive.
I wonder if the "amazing scent" is enough to justify that big price tag.
Aluminum SALTS are the only product that prevents sweat. Aluminum as a metal is not what is in antiperspirants. It doesn't get soaked into the skin or into the bloodstream. The salts plug up the sweat glands, & prevent perspiration.

She prepared for the pitch; the script ad etc a long time ago. I think what she meant was she prepared herself/how she set her mind to face the hungry shark after a quick unexpected notice.

I think Lori was a little scared of her hyperness and desperation and the numbers . Would make a great QVC product thought depending on the price . Was alittle early because of restarting with sales or contracts after covid but maybe that's the opportunity. Anyways maybe complicated by investors numbers.
