I am a Kenyan living in Canada. Wairimu may have sounded harsh, but it was a wakeup call for me and many others. Perfect timing as we begin the new year. Thank you.
My sis she is very young, with a care home care ,i remmeber she called me to pray for her so that she will be given government license. She is running a care company and she has employed Kenyans in Florida. Bless you woman of God,am a minister of gosple and Enterprenuership in s.korea.
How I wish I can get a chance to work there, right now I'm shedding tears wondering where can I start.. back here in Kenya things are not easy. I can work very hard coz would always remember where I came from. Those who are there you are very lucky. I believe God will make a way for me,
She knows her thing. The kind of person I love, keep talking people who wants to listen will. Its true most Kenyans here its hard to deal with. I am in the process of opening my own group home and I am encouraged already. God is with us.
She is oozing wisdom. Thanks for confirming why I should not be caged in mediocrity where Kenyans will choke you to death with unprofessional gigs at the place of work
I'm happy you're out there telling the truth about what our peole are doing when you try to help them out. I have business that what they have been doing to me too. But our God is still on control will never going to live us alone
I’m a homecare business owner and I can relate with your experience,, I’ve not had good experience with some Kenyan caregivers. I think we can do better..
All depends on how you treat them,...most of kenyan providers bully their caregivers,...just remember American culture is bot bully,if you can't deliver you get fired and life to that company continues
Ehh! Yawa! She served the truth on a plate for those willing to eat and prosper. That is most Wairimu's, they don't play but mean business. Put a Wairimu (Kikuyu) anywhere on this planet and they'll succeed. Congrats lady!:))
Okay, great talk, however, there is so much evil in the communities that she can condemn, like breaking homes, killers, conmen, etc Concentrating so much energy on that woman who changed her accent, kumwaniika saana, just because ya accent and her own accent has actually changed in some areas is pure tyranny. That woman embarrassed herself but she did not harm anyone! A christian should choose their battles carefully not constantly whipping people for little mistakes, peace!
Also some kenyan providers treat caregivers as they would in kenya,...yet in america,.. Bully and bossy providers full of pride,..proud and none listening caregivers full of jealous,.. I recommend keeping professional relationships,...report to work on time, ask for day offs on time..Follow care plan,.. Those are key elements on this job
Some Kenyans wameharibu i think wairimu wa kimani is the 6th person nimesikia akisema.Pia ni Texas in some hospitals wanakataa nurses from Kenya coz wanakataa kumaliza contracts zao esp wenye wanakuja na Agencies......Soon or Later this Agencies will stop taking Kenyan nurses coz of the bad reputation.
@Lizndungu6769 True, I totally agree with you. I know a lady RN who got a contract RN job in Tennessee for two years but after 3 months she quit and went back to Portland. Now she is paying money back. She is very lazy, never stays in one place as an RN for long. So Pathetic. Some Kenyans want easy work where they will not get tired and get paid for doing nothing.
Totally understand there must be guidelines for work ethics however, the lady is a entrepreneur however she seems to forgot where God got her from .Employee should be trained appropriately and rules & regulations set prior to working together. Otherwise singling certain people ain’t cutting.
@yt-tk6uy. You are thinking like a person who lives in Kenya but yes respect is important and it cuts both ways, but you have to perform in your job, some of these people are so sloppy they think like they are in Kenya working. America is a different place all together.
@daveparko3519 nop,..most of kenyan providers are bossy and their kenyan caregivers proud,.all this has something to do with where you come from,. Stop blaming caregivers only,...providers especially women are very bitter...I don't know why
Respect caregivers not forgetting your little beginings. One day you were a caregiver and without them you can't run that home and can't be a CEO of clients.
