    Hi Romulo, You can only apply for a work permit once you receive your nomination from the province. You can restore as a worker within 90 days of your refusal.

    Thanks for the reply. Yes it helps. But as hard as it may be to find an employer willing to do a work permit and LMIA it is not impossible is it? I think a certain amount of hard work and luck is involved also. I'm going to keep trying. I have everything else the AINP needs. I can't quit now. Thanks again.

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  8 лет назад

      +Russell Dailey No, it's far from impossible, but usually employers want to hire either people they know already, or people already in Canada (or both). It's harder when you're not physically in Canada. However, it also depends upon what you do. If you have a skill that is in really high demand, it's considerably easier.

    Just curious, how easy is it for an American to claim a work permit? And is it possible to apply for a law enforcement career? Or will I have to undergo a different route?

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  9 лет назад

      +netsfan101
      A work permit needs a job offer. Law enforcement is probably difficult, unless you have lots of experience and training. I believe you cannot be a peace officer with just temporary status in this country.
      As an American, though, you can come up here whenever you want, to network. So there's that.

    Hi, my girlfriend who lives in Singapore (with a malaysian passport) wants to live in Canada with me for 6 months and work here for that duration. She has a degree in fashion. Getting a job offer is definitely the hardest part.
    During the LMO stage, is this something only the employer has to deal with? So when an employer decides to hire you, he/she will go through all the necessary steps and provide you with all the documents you need for the application?

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  9 лет назад

      Shaquille Davis The employer is supposed to deal with the LMIA (that's the new name for an LMO), however many of them have no idea what to do. The employer must apply for it but many times applicants or the consultants/lawyers hired by the applicants, help the employer figure out what to do.

      You do not need a visa but you still need a work permit and an LMIA (unless the job is LMIA-exempt and, even then, new rules are making it so that your employer pretty much as to get an equivalent of an LMIA).

      I don't much about Goodhires but most legitimate headhunters in Canada are paid by the employer, not the prospective employee, so you should be wary of a company like them that asks for money.
      As for this application, did they give you an employer name, a position, a salary? If they did, you should contact the employer. If they didn't, it sure sounds like it's not true.

    Hi Immigroup. I am looking to apply to the AINP for a Provincial Nomination to Canada through Alberta, where I want to live,; Calgary to be exact. My wife and I are trying to get in through the Express Entry system also, with her as the primary applicant because of her age being younger, and she is college educated, where I am not. I believe that I could get myself and my family in as a skilled worker through the AINP, but in order to start the process, I need to have a work permit. How do I get a work permit in order to start an AINP application? I have everything else that AINP requires, just the permit is missing. Also, is there an age limit to using the AINP system? Their website did not have that information. Please answer as soon as you can. Thank you.

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  8 лет назад

      +Russell Dailey Hi Russell,Unfortunately it is rather hard to get a work permit. You'd need a job offer from a Canadian employer and almost always this has to be supported by what is known as a Labour Market Impact Assessment (aka LMIA). If your wife qualifies for Express Entry, this is probably the easier way to go.Hope this helps.

      What traffic violation did you get arrested for? (You can send us a private message or email us at info@immigroup.com)
      If you have a job offer from a Canadian employer, you can apply for what is called a temporary resident permit (basically permission to have your inadmissibility waived) either at the same time you submit your work permit application (or upon entry into Canada, if you are American).

    Hello! I just wanted to ask if visa authorization letter and work clearance permit have a fee? Like 478 Canadian Dollar and can be paid thru Western Union according to the Airport Immigration Lawyer. Is that true? I have a friend that is applying to Esso Imperial Oil Company as a Rigger and he must pay 478 Canadian Dollars to have those two documents. How legit is that?

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  6 лет назад

      Hi Jean,
      This sounds extremely sketchy. This lawyer, can you look them up online? Whichever province they operate in, look them up in the province's law society directory.

    • @jeancruz5979
      @jeancruz5979 6 лет назад +1

      The address they attached on the email is somewhere in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I think they are scammers because I also posted this dilemma on Canada Visa Forum and they said that it's a fraud. The lawyer's name is Nelson George and his accountant's name is Choudhury Ashoke. I think he is an Indian National. Nelson George attached a photo of him and signature at the end of his email.

    Hi, can an immigrant studying for PhD in Canada has a chance of getting a job offer there (Canada) after their course of study? is it trough the express entry? has there been people that has actually done that and being successful? Im hoping to move to Canada in undertaking my PhD next year, and want to settle down there, thereafter. but is worried about getting a job after the completion of the course. thank you in advance.

    • @immigroup

      +ns99december
      It used to be true that you could come through the Federal Skilled Worker program (now in Express Entry) with a PhD, without a job offer. However, I don't believe that's true any more. But a PhD will give you a lot of points, I think. Here's the point system: www.immigroup.com/news/express-entrys-comprehensive-rating-system

      Coming to Canada in security is pretty hard. You would have to find a Canadian employer to offer you a job and they would have to prove to the Canadian government that they cannot find other people to fill that job, which is unlikely.

    • @immigroup
      @immigroup  6 лет назад

      I'm not sure such an option exists, here's why: in order for programs to be eligible for study permits, they need to be over 8 months long. Is there a truck driving training program more than 8 months? Figure out the program you want to attend and how long it is, then you will either have to come here as a visitor (if it's shorter than 8 months) or get your study permit once you're accepted (if it's longer than 8 months).
