  • New pins and made up bushes fitted to take out the slop in the bucket, the grading bucket fitted ready for some clearing up around the yard. It turned out to be a very snug when we fitted it as you can see. A very nice machine.

    A lovely machine in its day, I found putting the H link pin in first then lifting the jib so the bucket has some swing made getting the main pin in much easier. Great to see an old favourite still alive and kicking, had many an hour working the 580.keep the videos coming guys.

      Its a very good example, it needs pins and bushes and the dipper to boom and bucket link as they are worn out, one of the best example I have seen for a long time. Good to see the Hymac at the home of very big Caterpillar machines at Bostonpowercat

    Yes i agree put the H pin in first, but get yourself a smaller diameter pin and you can easily put that in pick up your bucket and then fit your proper pins with a little manipulation of the levers👌it will take a quarter of the time and effort with the thinner pin first good diggin and thanks for sharing

    Is that a Ford or a Perkins engine in that Hymac..?
