Donn Ryan no. Just detangle braid by braid when you take it out. Takes more time but you lose less hair. And don’t be shocked by how much comes out. It’s 4 months worth of shed hair. I just took down some braids after 3 months
If i show u how short my hair is and the looks of it u will tell me there is no hope .i just started training it again. I don't know what to do i am so fraustrated
My mom braided my hair and put this hair growth serum everyday and sprayed water in my hair. She kept it like that for 2 weeks. Then my hair started to get longer and now we do that to our hair Daily and now my hair is at 17 inches rn!!
Use a spray bottle with water and conditioner when taking them down, being it’s so fragile after taking down braids. Spritz your hair before you start combing out your braids to cut down breakage 🤍 then the oils and product will penetrate more too

He loves you so much that He gave His only son to die for you .You may Think I'm stupid but Yes He is Real and He will soon come please repent before its to late ❤much love
I’ve never kept braids in that long but it grows fast in braids. Your hair is beautiful. When I take out my braids I use conditioner at my finger tips to remove the buildup.
I wash my daughters box braids every week and use a crochet need to tighten the box braids once a month. They last 3 months and she never has build up or itchiness. (We use a clarifying shampoo, deep conditioner and then apple cider vinegar rinse.) Plus the new growth isn’t as visible after using the crochet needle. Ppl always commenting how I always have her braids done monthly and I I DO NOT!! I just found a method that works for us.
I have mine in for 6.......it takes me days to do my hair, so I try to let them stay in as long as I can. Each month, I wash my twists with a dawn dish soap/ baking soda wash. It gets all the build up out and clean my scalp. When my new growth gets too much, I put rubber bands on each twist to make them look fresh.
@@JussErin just that amount of time. I have had a hectic stressful life and the last thing I needed was to worry about my hair. But I never let them go past 6 months.
Just a warning, it might not work for everyone but I have grown lower back length hair because I do this. But I did a big chop recently and now I'm starting all over.
@@gelilabelete4546 sure, well I get the regular blue dawn dish soap and I mix a little bit of baking soda in to it. The baking soda acts as an exfoliant to the scalp and the dawn gets out the build up. You should only do this once a month though, I wouldn't reccomend it anymore than that.

I keep my scalp moisturized regularly with my installs. Maybe that’ll help if that’s something you don’t already do. :)
For $200 dollars I leave my braids in for 3months or 4
Random question! Can you wash the hair and reuse it? Or do you just throw it away after you remove it?
Depending on the state it's in. If I was to reuse it I would reuse it right away and only once. Most times I throw it away though.
