Real wasabi sauce is no sauce, but paste (shredded and ground up). Because of the effort that has to be put into farming that stuff, it's also really, really expensive and rare. Most consumer wasabi is like 95% Horse radish with 3% real wasabi, green food colouring and some preservatives. Hope that was educative!
