I did not grow up a Longhorn fan and never attended UT. However, I am an 8th generation Texan. After seeing the mob try and kill this longstanding Texas tradition, and almost succeed, this song has a whole new level of meaning to me and I get emotional hearing it. Seeing the entire crowd is no longer afraid to sing it brings me so much joy.
I don't watch football and never into it but the woke filth made me take notice when this crap happened 6 or 7 years ago. I love playing the song and singing it.
