I just wish it came with an attachment that would/could act as a backrest for the rider's seat. It would be pretty neat to lie back on the backrest and cruise along on long trips!
Any comment on some of the major points, ride quality, power from the 170, rough water handling, handling with a full load on the rear, tech package, etc.
Love all your video content, but I especially loved the Explorer Pro 170 review!! It absolutely led me to purchasing our Explorer Pro and we LOVE IT!!!
Can I ride from Sebastian to Eau Galle with 10-15 knots of north wind without having to stand-up the entire way, sitting down without being jostled around and splashed in the face the entire time? Can I get a test ride?
I love the explorer concept but put off by the achilles heal of all Seadoos which is the carbon driveshaft seal. Also they say the St3 hull design isn’t good in chop or rough seas. Im a salt water bay and ocean rider not a lake, river, and flat water rider. Also don't care for the IDF,just another thing to break leaving one stranded..we don't get pump clogging weeds in my area.
It's the ADV community that is the quickest, not dual sport. Other than that I am really excited for this platform. Hopefully they add this to the Spark Trix soon as well. The watercraft is already basically a dual sport/supermoto. Perfect lightweight/budget adv sort of platform. Cheap, rugged and dependable. Those are crucial in the ADV segment. I will say $19K for a PWC ADV that's a bit much, but, it makes sense compared to a 1250 GSA. If they can come out with a Spark Trix Rally for under $10K they can open up a whole new segment. For these next two years with a massively looming recession, budget is key. Edit: Turns out MSRP is $16,799 which is closer to a well spec'd KTM 890 Adventure R. Pretty good in my opinion for a full adventure ready piece of kit. Honestly for that price point with all the tech and storage this is definitely close to a full GSA, Tiger 1200, Pan American, or 1290 Adventure.
I wouldn't be venturing out into open water for island adventures on this thing. It's a pretender with the right idea and a lot of gimmicks. It's still a ST3 hull and it's still a cheap quality build. Adventure guys are still going to buy their Kawasaki 310s and Yamaha FX's as they are proven open water beasts that lend perfectly for safe adventures
Honestly the next thing they could look into for this is a wheel mounting kit on four corners with electric motors. There has to be a way. Think about it, a PWC that could go on shore! Gonna have to think about that one.
It needs at least a 230hp engine option and a bigger fuel tank of at least 30gal. cant really explore too far with the standard fuel tank and the linq fuel can is barely enough nor worth the money.
I am going to assume this is a paid Seadoo video because it's unbelievably bias. In the real world, our crew tests skis of all Makes as we love them all. The Explorer (in our unbias opinion) ranks no.3 for PWCs actual ability as an adventure pwc. It's hull is the worst out of the top 3 pwc makers for rough water miles ACTUALLY exploring between islands. The Kawi 310 & the Yamaha FX are clear winners in open water where as the Seadoo ST3 is designed for smooth water and stationary stability which it does very well. The Linq system is more of a gimmick and is less usable than you may think. It's Linq accessories only, meaning limited functional space plus the Accessories are Seadoo only and cost big $$$ for no real reason. We would much rather strap a cage to the back and fit double the fuel or double the load. Where does your tent go? Bbq set up? The 170 motor is very reliable and fuel efficient but it's slow. It does enough to cruise around on. The FX has more power and is still as efficient, if not better for range where the Kawi is supercharged and 310hp. Nobody will be pulling their Seadoo up onto rocky banks either. No amount of rail will fix the damage the bottom of the hull would get. Instead, use this rail to anchor off in the water. It'll preserve that plastic hull. This is a very expensive PWC and unfortunately misses the mark for its intended purpose of being an "adventure" ski that can handle rough water. The ST3 nose will bow hunt and veer off sharply in cross waves and swell. This video was done in smooth sheltered waters. If Seadoo makes a hull that can handle rough water, I'd love to retest.
Needs twin jets no different from now venerable Yamaha Jet Boat which is *MASSIVELY* overpriced and thus no fun this be the exact opposite of that absolutely true dat.

That's why you brought along the girl with double D's...right?
Hi Jun, how big is the gas tank? Thank you

Great video
Hız tekneleri harika 🙌

çok tatlı ❤❤
I’d like Seadoo to add more horse power to the Explorer Pro, like 230 or 300
Yes, an Explorer 230 would be perfect
Also burns more gas which kind of defeats the purpose. Buy a GTX.

@@_jamesrose I'm thinking river adventures. Not so much open seas.
I’d buy this with a 230. 170’is kind of weak when fully loaded
Wrong 1985. Wave runner 33 hp jet

Storage racks around the front. Ditch the sporty hood, it's a utility vessel for f sake lol.

115 hp jet. 30 gallon. Tank
Awesome PWC, but quite pricey. $19,000.
its $16,799 USD
$33,134 here in New Zealand
Don't forget freight, text, assembly, etc... And that doesn't include any upgrades. I'd rather have the Fishpro Trophy.
@pl1068 😳 Thats... excessive! NZ dollar is 36% less than USD. That would only make it about $25k. Why is it so much more there?
❤❤❤
say machine one mo’ time
what ?
