Thanks for this video, the tips are great! I didn't like the subtitles that couldn't be turned off, especially since they looked AI generated, talking about how women are "golden" sleepers than men and using "phone" sleeping pads, etc.
Glad you liked it! The subtitles are AI generated but we go through and (try to) edit out the mistakes - obviously missed some! I edited out so many of those "phone" sleeping pads....ugh! You can usually turn off RUclips subtitles in your settings though...did that not work on this video?
@@trailblazeherTS The subtitles appear to be part of the video. I can turn on RUclips subtitles and have them displayed over your subtitles, but can't get rid of your white text subtitles.
The CCF pad trick + a good pad didn't work for me. BUT investing in the Nemo Tensor Extreme did. If you can snag one used, it is much more budget friendly. I also bought a Zenbivy sheet and took my existing quilt to get loops sewn on to fit. Works great!! Last thing ... I bring an emergency bivy bag as a liner - way cheaper, lighter, and much warmer than most liners.
I really considered putting that hack on here, but I've experienced mixed results with emergency bivys myself. They've helped me with warmth but about half the time, I've also woken up covered in condensation soaking through my clothes since it was trapped int here with me haha. But I do love the Tensor!! NEMO makes such great stuff and that pad is no exception. Glad you found something that worked for you!
We'd love to find and support other outdoor women on RUclips. If that's you, drop your channel so we can build our community! 💜
