Question...I NOW understand bonded and neutral so much better. I'm assuming you are describing a transfer switch that automatically makes the transition from the house panel to the generator; are your descriptions applicable to a manual interlock switching type of scenario...specifically being able to meet code by using the buss in my Square D box to connect my neutral and grounding wires to and thus use the two house rods vs. having to install a separate rod to properly ground my generator? Thank you so much for the understandable video/visuals and, in advance, for any clarity you can offer re appropriate grounding method. (My 9500/12500 generator is a bonded neutral which I will change it to a floating bond.)
Hi, I have a neutral bonded to frame Generator. I have installed a 4 lug 30 amp metal inlet box with 8/3 +ground wire to a 30 amp 2 pole breaker interlock in my panel. will i have a double bonding issue will this work and do i need a grounding rod connected at the generator.
Wouldn't the switch need to be a double pole switch so that there can't be any back feed between neutral and ground if there's a failure inside the furnace?
2:15 I think he could have explained this better. Neutral current wants to return to its source. That's why it won't travel from your generator to the transformer.
Can this switch be used with a Solar System? In other words, when the power goes down... so does the solar system power. You are not allowed to back feed to the grid. But if the power goes down, can this switch be used so that the solar power will run the house during the day WITHOUT feeding power back to the grid? That would be great!

Hello Sir/Mam, using your EZ manual transfer switch, would you still need to turn off your main switch/separate circuits in Main circuit breaker panel? Or do you wire up your manual transfer switch and leave everything on? I have a Coleman Powermate PMA525302 generator from about 2006 and am unsure if it is a bonded or floating neutral generator? I am considering this innovative product, please let me know the above concerns

I was wondering when install of a transfer switch. Why do you need to hook from the load side of the meter instead of the load side of the main 200A breaker. Does it not make a difference?
Hello, I would like to buy one of the EZ units but I need one that is outdoor compatible with my breaker box is outside
Say you had a 50amp breaker for a sub panel and you just wanted to power a couple fridges and a gas furnace. Couldn't you just swap out that 15amp reset button on your switch for a 30 or 40 reset and bump up the wire gauge. Should be all good.
You can't plug into a standard outlet for anything above 20. We have a UL and Any deviations would be a violation. You need 30 amps or 40 or 50 you need a switch rated for same.
Hello, I have two of your switches now and love them. I'm thinking of getting 2 more. Would there be any issues if I run two generators, each feeding 2 EZ switches?
No issue... You need to be sure no circuit from either generator is sharing a neutral... Like in a three wire home run.. Understand?
