the difference in 3ms and 1ms is huge. i would recommend the 180 for 2 reasons. 1: what i just said, 3ms is a lot more than you think. 2: you aren't using all 240 hz. so 180 is just as good as 240.
To be honest the difference between 180hz and 240hz is like comparing 144hz to 165hz so not a huge jump in smoothness but having 240hz will be better! Visually, 180hz is very similar to 240hz in smoothness but comparing 240hz to 360hz does look different so if you want to see a smoother difference from 180hz then go for 280hz and above! My answer to you would be just keep 180hz for now or overclock your monitor to 200hz just for fun
