The plotting in this is actually half decent. It does the "brothers-find-sister" storyline really well. It's still a convoluted soap opera but a good one that doesn't frustrate. I'm wondering if this is an old one because Yao Guanyuan looks really young in it.

Then I decided to just ignore the bits that didn't make sense, laugh & roll my eyes at misunderstandings, and accept that sometimes the editing isn't 5stars - I enjoyed them a lot more after that 😄😂 There certainly are some great scripts out there like you mentioned - and the others, well, I consider them a work-in-progress, an opportunity for the next version to improve upon 🤩

Weirdly enough I actually have cousins who have this same exact family dynamic. My cousin D married a woman with a child, cousin E, from a previous relationship. They then had three children together, cousins I R and O, before getting divorced. Then cousin D married his current wife J who honestly the rest of the family think it was for a green card, but they have a child together, cousin B. So E I R and O all have the same mom and I R O and B all have the same dad my cousin D, so E and B aren't related at all. Difference is E is about a year older than me (about 34) and B is 13 or 14 now. I have a very large family and remembering everyone's names is more important than birthdays and ages 😂
The family dynamic can be confusing. So the 4 guys have the same mother while she has a different one. But the 3 & her share the same father, while the 1 doesn't. So what does that make him & her getting together? Sounds like a math problem lol. I thought this happened only in the US. 😂
