  • One of the most powerful things we can do as elementary school teachers is to help develop the love of reading with our students. One way to do that is to read aloud as many books as possible!
To help students continue to think about the books we read and to talk about them, tracking the list with an anchor chart in your classroom is a great way to support discussions and keep students excited.
Whether you track picture book read alouds, chapter book read alouds, or any other mentor text you use as a part of your reading instruction… Keeping an ongoing list give students ownership. See what you think!
