Good advice. This isn't a lesson for everyone. This is a lesson for the meticulous bboy/bgirl that wants to take his or her game to the next level. Does any bboy including Menno deserve to win every battle he or she wins?? No. Everyone robs, and everyone gets robbed, and nobody that actually breaks can deny that. This is a good lesson and I'm going to add it to my game. IT doesn't matter where good advice comes from. Good advice is good advice, butfor the record, Menno is a bboy's bboy, meaning he does a lot of stuff that bboys will respect that the layman won't. It is what it is. Mad props and respect to Menno and every bboy and bgirl giving it 100%
I think that its more than just calling Menno a "bboy bboy" He is a strategist. He has foundational power that can dumb down and shock the layman. Non bboy and bgils will "wow" at a headspin. Redbull BC is special TYPE of competition that requires a certain formulaic course of action. Menno comes prepared. Bumblebees moves were FAR FAR more difficult than Menno, but Menno cleaned house because what he brought to the table was PREPARED vocabulary sets of VERY innovative material. You HAVE to PREP for BC one.
@@danieldharam3005BC one used to be a respectable competition until marketing took precedent over the actual battles. Menno is built for any high level competition because of his mastery of things laymen are too ignorant to speak on like, transitions. That's what makes him a bboys bboy. At the end of the day breaking is Hip Hop and nobody claiming Hip Hop and selling out is actually Hip Hop, but a real one can learn in any situation. Secondly, dont confuse a layman with "food" (weak bboy). They aren't the same thing. Lastly, if you are going to make a counter point, do a better job of understanding the original comment. 100
this is an absolutely amazing video. how menno makes elegant level changes so simple is mind blowing to any bboy who has been dancing for a while. again, not for the once-a-week or once-a-month bboy but for dancers who have expanded their foundation and explored their style to a degree that they can understand what kind of priceless gems of knowledge Menno drops within the first minute of the video
I am just a causal watcher and I must admit I never understood the appeal of bboys like Menno or Roxrite. Still respect the hard work they put into their craft.
Also, Red Bull, sanction more cyphers. When I visited London...and L.A., come to think of it, there was, respectively, a red bull studio in each city that could house both concerts and breaking events, music releases ect. If you take existing space in key places and make more of these versatile studios, you'll find more talent, and boost the popularity of all true forms of hiphop. It's a win-win. I even have demographic breakdowns on where some of these studios would be most fruitful. The markets are out there.
I love how people are so unwilling to learn and come on here just to comment and show how ignorant they are. If you are unwilling to learn, this dance is not for you, sorry. You'll always just get angry when a bboy or bgirl who has a different style wins over someone who has your preferred style.
Wow, the height of logical fallacies and assumptions. None of what you said applies to what I said. Where did I say any other style isn't valid? Where did I say this dance is derived from a single style? Where did I break down bboying with simplified elements? If you have read my comments, you will know that the only person whos style I don't feel like I understand is Tata's. And I admitted that I don't understand and I am trying to. Where did I say other aspects of the dance are not as important as flow!!?! I look up to so many bboys and bgirls with all types of styles, from powermoves, footwork, toprock, abstract, traditional, etc. Where did I say people who disagree with me are ignorant!!?? I called them ignorant because Menno has been recognized by other great bboys and bgirls as a really good dancer and all these people can say is that he is wiping the floor. Think more and assume less. It will make your life much easier.
Please do provide some evidence. And the one evidence you provided is wrong. I have NEVER in my life called anyone salty. I have used the term "eboys" though. And please do find the one where I claimed flow is all a bboy or bgirl needs to win. No where have I ever commented on bboys and bgirls should win by originality alone. We can argue forever, but please please do give a few example videos where I have said ANY of those things. I don't doubt you have seen my comments on other Menno videos, but none of the things you said are right, AT ALL. Perhaps you just assuming things again?
Red Bull, can we get a video about threads? I think that they are one of the more underrated aspects of breaking, and you have guys like Ronnie and Lilou on the team that could do a great tutorial on threads.
@@kaihocompany You don't have to base you're style around it to teach. Lilou uses threads in a very esoteric way, different than most threadheads. A tutorial from someone like that would be much more interesting and less mundane because of the eccentric approach. Khalil is another guy that would make an interesting thread tutorial in that same spirit. If you guys move/think like lemmings, you can all be second rate together in your lane 100
@@adammwakikoti2759 Threads in an esoteric way? What are you talking about?! Lilou is in my opnion one of the most overrated bboys out there who's overcompensating with his shitty attitude and behaviour during battles. The way you talk doesn't surprise me you're supporting a guy like him.
He became the champion 3 times with Menno Flow. Menno knows the cunning of this job very well and dances with a focus on flow. Juries look at the harmony with flow, not the difficulty of the movement. It is not necessary to do very difficult movements. You can become a champion just by doing foot movements. Just use the flows well.
BC One 2019...I watched that final...and like many I was upset with the way it went, upset with Red Bull for allowing this, upset for Killa Koyla, India, Bboys and Bgirls everywhere. I disrespected you Red Bull, and you too Menno...for that I apologize. While I am still upset how things went, I am not happy with the way I dealt with it. You both Red Bull and Menno, have my respect, and so... I will continue to train harder than ever, and when that day comes...MENNO I WILL BE READY 100

"He's a bboy's bboy"... I agree totally. IMHO you gotta be a bboy and a hardworking one to understand mennos work!

Lilou's threads are "basic". Dyzzee would be the perfect teacher
Thesis loves to do threads
Lilou has a couple of threads but hasn't based his style around it.
Like others said, Thesis or Dyzee would be great though.

If you want to win a bc one, you better start mopping and sweeping the floor in transition like Menno. The judges love the dance floor to be clean
Now i understand why he won 2 times bc one

Is he teaching us to breaking or mopping the floor??? You better be an officeboy rather than a bboy. LOL

Teach us how to rob Bboy Blond in 2014 :P

Adam Mwakikoti i was joking bro ahah it's not even his fault :)
