I rode down from Cleveland Ohio to Nashville and to Maggie Valley last May with a friend of mine. I was on my 2013 Raider and he was on his Honda vtx 1800. Had a great time . Got to stop at The Wheels Through Time Museum. Nothing beats riding thru those beautiful mountains. All in all about 1500 miles. The ride was flawless, no problems what so ever. Hope to get a chance to do it again.
I just came back from around there. I went to a cabin in Hot Springs, NC for 4 days then 4 days in a cabin in Bryson City, NC. I rode my 2012 Yamaha Raider S in 4-8hr loops on Blue Ridge Parkway, Little Switzerland, Mt Mitchell, Ashville, then to Lake Toxaway, Walnut Creek rd, Chatuge Lake, so I had a great time.
@@the7thletter444 I love exploring new roads.. The longest I’ve ridden was about 2 hours and it was from Lebanon to Clarksville.. and that was when I had my crouch rocket.. wasn’t the best comfortable ride but I had fun… never took the raider on long trips yet.
@@the7thletter444 wish I could do something like that. It's a time and money thing with me. It's very hard to get that much time off of my job and covid has just about completely wiped out my nest egg by costing my wife her job. It's great to see others out there enjoying the Raider life and getting together while doing it. I'm surrounded by Harley's here and man can those guys be touchy about the metric thing....lol.
@@troyjenkins2198 I get it. When I mention all those people traveling to this rally, it’s been a couple of years since they have due to the pandemic. I hope things turn around for you and your wife. That’s my hope for us all actually. Hang in there, and thanks for watching.
I know this video was posted a long time ago but hope you will respond. My wife has a Vstar 1300 Deluxe and complains all the time about the clutch. Is that some sort of pull reducer that on the left handlebar?
Her bike is actually pretty comfy. I think the Raider is too for the style of bike it is. I like that you sit down IN the seat of a Raider, not on top. Very low center of gravity. Thanks for watching!

Maggie Valley, my home for 13 years...
Miss the mountains...
Miss riding with my brothers up there...
Love the Raider...
Ever make it back over that way? Man there’s some incredible riding in that area!
@@the7thletter444 Yes, there is!
From Maggie Valley outward, I've ridden many miles...
Keep The Shiny Side Up Brother ✌️😎
Safe Travels
You seem to be a pretty awesome dude, esse. Like your attitude about life, motorcycles and riding in the rain.
Thanks man. Haven't been able to be active much on youtube lately...hoping to remedy that soon.

Sounds like a great trip. Thanks for watching.
These are such good looking bikes. Just bought a 2011…loving it. Looking for a batwing!
They are both beauty and beast for sure! Haha enjoy your Raider.
Awesome video.. I’d love to join next year! Would be a great ride from TN!
Thanks for watching. There are a lot of really good roads in that part of the country!

Awesome vid Gary! Can’t wait to do it again
Wish I was close enough to participate. Maybe the group will make it to Sturgis some time. I'm only about an hour away from there.
We’ve had people from all over join us at this rally. Minnesota, Texas, Canada, and even a handful from England! They ship their bikes and fly over.

@@the7thletter444 thanks brother. Ride safe Raider brothers and sisters!
Desde Panamá saludos
@6:52 u went dangerously wide ther for a sec
Good eye. I sure did. That road had extremely tight switchbacks. It was a very remote road though with no other traffic.
Hey man! What’s the song that starts at the 7:42 mark? Great vid!
Hey thanks for watching. That is a track I got from the stock music library at Storyblocks. This track is called “Gypsy Guitar Happy Cooking”. Cheers
Please, what are those handlebars??
Sorry I don’t know. Bought it used that way.

Yes indeed. Had to play with it a bit to get it right, but works great.
Your wifes bike looked the most comfortable other then that Indian

@@TheIrishAmish sorry for the late reply. I’ve been on the road. We purchased it that way, so I’m not sure.
