i remember someone interviewing her after she left thailand to bali i think, it is sad to hear of her case and passing away. clearly, everything we think of as significant, is not significant at all from a blue dot perspective.
I would like to comment here about what happened to my mother who was an American citizen who lived in Thailand for 12 years on a Retirement visa. My mother developed Alzheimer's disease and because of her memory issues she forgot to report to Thai immigration for a few months after she did everything right for 12 years. I had to pay the 20,000 baht fine at the airport when we left Thailand and I think that was not right because of extenuating circumstances. I think Thailand is really heavy handed with their immigration rules which continually keep changing and which favor wealthy individuals.

Elite Visa is expensive. They should look after their customers by tracking compliance with visa rules at a minimum.

if i overstay my visa on arrival for 2 weeks and pay the fine of 500 bath each day, should i be fine?
