I miss playing this in 2020. Being stuck at home, not having to work, my only focus was on this amazingly theraputic game. I know the world was in a terrible condition, but man this game helped me mentally recover so much. I wish I could play this game again for the first time.
Totally agree. I took a day off work for ACNH and that happened to be the day my job decided to close. One day off for ACNH turned into two months. I can't imagine how depressing the pandemic would have been without ACNH. It came out at just the right time.

It felt so good being able to do something so relaxing, so rewarding, and not having to stress about anything else. I was in the fifth grade at the time (i know i'm young) right when the pandemic happened my birthday was close by and I had to cancel my party. My parents bought me animal crossing and I couldn't stop playing it.

I placed a doghouse with some flowers on my secret beach as a little memorial for my family dog. I had no idea a demon dog was in there! 😅 But honestly, my dog was a little devil sometimes, so it still fits 😆
i wish you could ask villagers to 'return' to your island for a day and sleep in the campsite or chill at the roost. it sucks how u have to have their amiibo to invite them back, it'd be so nice to chat with villagers i previously had and had let them leave, imagine if they walk around chatting with their old neighbors! it would be so cute. :)
A pretty fun thing that I found out the other day, is that the starry wall actually glows when you turn the lights out. It makes it one of my favorite wallpapers by far
Actually to go even further! Not only are your starters always a sisterly and a jock, but the 3 villagers you get for your first 3 plots will always be a peppy, a normal, and a lazy.
One cool interaction I found was if you’re in the dlc after 5am, and you talk to Wilbur to go Harvey’s island, he’ll tell you you can’t because it’s classified.
I don't remember if they said in this video, but Blathers' desk in the bug exhibit has a tea and sugar cubes, and the runaway ants are actually going toward the sugar which is a small detail that I just love 😂 Edit: and I think that's why Blathers doesn't go to his desk anymore 🤣

I have two additional things-you-didn’t-know-about-acnh topics, both relating to the character wisp: 1: Wisp will react to your reactions just likeany other in-game Npc! 2: Wisp will also have a special dialogue option when hitting him over the head with a net, saying that he is not one of the spirit pieces and not to give up finding them!
38:31 a little thing I also noticed, I’m pretty sure that if you close your window curtains/blinds, the windows on the exterior of your house will also have their curtains closed. Also, if your main room doesn’t have the lights on, your exterior windows won’t be lit either.
There is actually a way to please everyone when you have to deliver a gift. Open it and then go to Nooks Cranny, buy a wrapping paper and select the item you got out of the present. Then just give it to the villiger you need and no one will find out you opened it

Okay so I can confirm the airport not letting you fly before you hear the morning broadcast is a game limitation thing. I stayed at Paradise Planning overnight by accident, and when I tried to swing by Harv's Island before going back home, Wilbur said it was a negative due to "classified stuff". So that confirms my suspicions that I had to have the reset/rollover to start a new day, and that hinges on Izzy!
maybe the kids drinking coffee is just a preference thing since stereotypically kids find coffee gross and would rather eat a cookie but timmy and tommy are hard working lads and need the caffeine to keep up with their boss’s demands

i'm pretty sure that you could always clap during K.K.'s performances. i can't be sure but i'm almost positive i discovered that one of the first times i had him perform on my island which was well before the 2.0 update bc i preordered the game and started it the first day it came out.
Timmy & Tommy won’t kick you out at closing time if you sit down on the floor. You can sit there keeping them up past their bedtime, listening to their closing time music for as long as you like.
22:00 When you don´t water pumpkins, you get one from one planr, when you water them on one day while the plant is growing, you get 2 for this harvest on this plant and if you water them on two growing-days, you get three for this harvest from this plant. the stove/crafting bench thing in redecorated villager homes happens also if you did put mentioned items in there…raymond for example regularly replaces his sofa with a stove - right next to the stove i put in there😂
As far as warp pipes go, my island is Pokémon themed, and I decided to divide it into a mainline area and a Mystery Dungeon area. So I decided to hide the pipe behind a piece of scenery or something, with a sign that hints where to jump off of. So when you use it, it looks like you’re warping between two different worlds.
I put the floating blocks to make a roof for my castle. You can’t have any items under them though, but I left a small opening for a wood stove so we have a warm up place to get out of the snow, or rain.
I just discovered you can talk to Sow Jones in the hospital waiting area on Mondays, apparently. She'll give you 30 turnips! Idk if that's every time, but she did this time. Pretty cool!
secret i've discoverd: if you catch a sea creature while swimming and you do not have place in inventory you have two options: swap it and let it go, but if you catch a seaweed or perarl your options will be: swap it or forget it
I always find it funny that people get all weird about "animals owning animal pets", but humans are literally smart monkeys with pets... we are literally still animals too. So the idea that a human wants a pet monkey is normal to us XD. Symbiotic relationships in the animal kingdom are also super common outside of that one example. Like spiders actually keep "pet frogs" to protect their nests etc. It's not nearly as weird as we make it out to be. The rules are all made up and the points don't matter. I for one think the dog house outside of a dog living in a literal house is silly and fun XD!

There is another way to jump off a cliff. If you build a cliff as far out it can go on the peninsula and wear your swimsuit you can jump into the water from higher up.
The thing with the pumpkins is the same as every other crop: the number of days you water them in a row is directly related to how many each plant produces with a max of 3. So if you pluck your pumpkin amd water it 1 day and not again you'll get 1 pumpkin. If you water 2 days in a row, you'll get 2 pumpkins. 3 days in a row=3 pumpkins per planted crop.
@CrossingChannel Another awesome video! I've been playing NH as well as other games in the AC series for a long time, and a lot of these secrets still shocked me! Like I had no idea Timmy and Tommy would give you the boot if you stayed too long. That one was one of the most shocking for me. Another shocking secret for me was about clapping along with KK. I was just at one of his shows that he does every Saturday like an hour ago, and I had 2 of my villagers, Drago and Rosie to be exact enjoying the music with my player. I actually thought to myself 'I wonder if she can clap along with the music?' That's awesome and kinda ironic! It's like you read my mind! A lot of the deeper stuff I didn't know like bad blood between Tom and Redd, the history of the Able sisters. That's super cool! Really great video!

This is old news, but since I just started playing the DLC--regarding Sable, Mabel, and Label in this game being together, if you scan an amiibo for one of them to give them a vacation home they all live in the vacation home together. I scanned Sable specifically without knowing this, so I only know her dialogue, but she says she'll only take a vacation home if there's enough space for all of them. It's very sweet! When you visit their house you can see Mabel and Label bickering about yard work and things like that. I've been very invested in their whole situation across the games so it makes me happy that they can have a place to all be together :)
I can just imagine Tom Nook calling the villager😭 "Hey hey, listen....I get that it's 3am, but you have no choice. The player wants to move your house."
With all these characters now modeled in HD and fan outcry/backlash there is no reason for Nintendo to exclude so many characters from the next game like this one originally
with vegetables and such - as far as i'm aware, they are grown in 2-day cycles; so let's say day 1 is when they are grown and you harvest them, day 2 they are growing, day 3 the same as day 1 if you don't water at all, by day 3 you will just have one for each crop to harvest. if you water once (say on day 2) then you will have two, if you water both days - both the same day after harvesting, as well as the off-day - you will yield 3 of each!
Nan and Chevre are two villagers that have each other's photos in their homes, in New Horizons! I had Nan on my island, she's a black goat with a black rattan home, while Chevre is a white goat a white rattan home. They're in reference to a Japanese folk song! Also the nerdy hamster, Graham, with the tech-server home, has a secret shrine of Christine and Francine hung up above the entryway, it's just high enough that it's easily missable. It's by far one of my favourite easter eggs 😂

I came here to say this. I love Nan and Chevre so much and have their houses next to each other with little areas for them each to have their own hobbies, but also to spend together
I think I was pretty lucky with my jock villager at the start of the game because not only is he a crocodile which is pretty neat but he's also the cutest looking crocodile out of all that were available back then.
I got the tight squeeze dialogue the other day for a log staircase I built. I made a little fishing hole area within my second layer on the island, but it's a depression in that cliff (so you have to go to the second level to get there, but the area is on the first level elevation wise). Anyway, I placed a log staircase leading down between the edge of the cliff going from left at the top to right at the bottom, and he mentioned it then
So, your introduction to me with the science pod holding items unlocked the most diabolical plan in my mind to run to the dlc island and buy one to put the toilet paper stack in one 😂😂😂

33:30 Oh, that’s an actual feature?! I thought it was a coincidence that the Able Sister’s store had in their shop to support her sister. That was also when I learned that the Labelle clothes have different color varieties.
I found the dream feature kinda accidentally. It was pretty neat, but so far I only visited one island. Might use it again when I have enogh time (and can hopefully craft more items or have the bells to buy more items) to decorate my island again - so I can get some ideas from people's dreams.
Tom forces the villgers out of their beds when they are sleeping but is nice enough not to force them out of their houses when they are sick. That happened to me once. I tried to move a house but Nook wouldn't let me. Good guy. First villagers will always be Jock and Uchi (sisterly) , then your next 3 villagers will always consist of a normal, a lazy and a peppy. Then your first campsite villager will always be smug. I think they did this to give you more variety in the DIY pools since most of them are attached to your villagers personality.
I know this video is old but I just had to comment; I was working on Moe's vacation home in HHP, and put the stadium wall with a wrestling ring and judges bell 🛎.. I kid you not I rang the bell, the crowd went wild, & Moe hopped into the ring like he had been clotheslined 😹😹 haven't been able to recreate it since though!!

I plant 30k in every golden hole. Mostly it give back 90k, sometimes it just gives 30k. So I'm even.
There is another way to jump off a cliff. If you build a cliff as far out it can go on the peninsula and wear your swimsuit you can jump into the water from higher up.

The thing with the pumpkins is the same as every other crop: the number of days you water them in a row is directly related to how many each plant produces with a max of 3. So if you pluck your pumpkin amd water it 1 day and not again you'll get 1 pumpkin. If you water 2 days in a row, you'll get 2 pumpkins. 3 days in a row=3 pumpkins per planted crop.

@CrossingChannel Another awesome video! I've been playing NH as well as other games in the AC series for a long time, and a lot of these secrets still shocked me! Like I had no idea Timmy and Tommy would give you the boot if you stayed too long. That one was one of the most shocking for me. Another shocking secret for me was about clapping along with KK. I was just at one of his shows that he does every Saturday like an hour ago, and I had 2 of my villagers, Drago and Rosie to be exact enjoying the music with my player. I actually thought to myself 'I wonder if she can clap along with the music?' That's awesome and kinda ironic! It's like you read my mind! A lot of the deeper stuff I didn't know like bad blood between Tom and Redd, the history of the Able sisters. That's super cool! Really great video!

This is old news, but since I just started playing the DLC--regarding Sable, Mabel, and Label in this game being together, if you scan an amiibo for one of them to give them a vacation home they all live in the vacation home together. I scanned Sable specifically without knowing this, so I only know her dialogue, but she says she'll only take a vacation home if there's enough space for all of them. It's very sweet! When you visit their house you can see Mabel and Label bickering about yard work and things like that. I've been very invested in their whole situation across the games so it makes me happy that they can have a place to all be together :)
I can just imagine Tom Nook calling the villager😭 "Hey hey, listen....I get that it's 3am, but you have no choice. The player wants to move your house."

With all these characters now modeled in HD and fan outcry/backlash there is no reason for Nintendo to exclude so many characters from the next game like this one originally
with vegetables and such - as far as i'm aware, they are grown in 2-day cycles; so let's say day 1 is when they are grown and you harvest them, day 2 they are growing, day 3 the same as day 1
if you don't water at all, by day 3 you will just have one for each crop to harvest. if you water once (say on day 2) then you will have two, if you water both days - both the same day after harvesting, as well as the off-day - you will yield 3 of each!
Nan and Chevre are two villagers that have each other's photos in their homes, in New Horizons! I had Nan on my island, she's a black goat with a black rattan home, while Chevre is a white goat a white rattan home. They're in reference to a Japanese folk song!
Also the nerdy hamster, Graham, with the tech-server home, has a secret shrine of Christine and Francine hung up above the entryway, it's just high enough that it's easily missable. It's by far one of my favourite easter eggs 😂

I think I was pretty lucky with my jock villager at the start of the game because not only is he a crocodile which is pretty neat but he's also the cutest looking crocodile out of all that were available back then.
Chevre and Nan also have photos of each other in their houses.

I got the tight squeeze dialogue the other day for a log staircase I built. I made a little fishing hole area within my second layer on the island, but it's a depression in that cliff (so you have to go to the second level to get there, but the area is on the first level elevation wise). Anyway, I placed a log staircase leading down between the edge of the cliff going from left at the top to right at the bottom, and he mentioned it then

I found the dream feature kinda accidentally. It was pretty neat, but so far I only visited one island. Might use it again when I have enogh time (and can hopefully craft more items or have the bells to buy more items) to decorate my island again - so I can get some ideas from people's dreams.

Tom forces the villgers out of their beds when they are sleeping but is nice enough not to force them out of their houses when they are sick. That happened to me once. I tried to move a house but Nook wouldn't let me. Good guy.
First villagers will always be Jock and Uchi (sisterly) , then your next 3 villagers will always consist of a normal, a lazy and a peppy. Then your first campsite villager will always be smug. I think they did this to give you more variety in the DIY pools since most of them are attached to your villagers personality.

I know this video is old but I just had to comment; I was working on Moe's vacation home in HHP, and put the stadium wall with a wrestling ring and judges bell 🛎.. I kid you not I rang the bell, the crowd went wild, & Moe hopped into the ring like he had been clotheslined 😹😹 haven't been able to recreate it since though!!
