Iwayado, located in Iwayado Park, originally refers to a natural stone shrine associated with the famous monk Gyoki. It is one of the prominent tourist spots in the region and is also situated along the Tokai Nature Trail.
The "Mt.Iwasu Observation Deck Hiking Course" is also on the Tokai Nature Trail, with a distance of 600 meters from Iwayado to the observation deck, taking about 40 minutes for a round trip. The initial climb is steep, but the view from the observation deck, which was renovated in 2007, is exceptional. On a clear day after the rain, you can enjoy views of the skyscrapers and Nagoya Dome in Nagoya, as well as the Suzuka Mountain Range.
