    I have tested the circuit it is working fine input 5v 600ma and output was 13v thanks very much.

    so your just using the 555 in a PWM mode to control the mosfet for the boost converter!! yes?? cool!! & a very handy way of doing it.. i must add : )

    I also create my own different circuit design using the same Mosfet and IC. I studied the circuit and found that on different types of load connected to its output voltage decreases and increases, That's happens because of lack of a very important feature known as feedback voltage.

    I have some question, is you need 5 watt ? You don’t need 5 watt for the 10 ohm resistor, can use 2 power mosfet like irf3205 to increase output current ? and increase thickness of inductor wire and use fast recovery diod like fr107 insteade of 1n4007, so in your circuit how much of amps can handle

    Good basic design of a Step up converter with a 555 but you have no feedback on the output so the voltage will drop or rise all over the place with different loads on the output. So good but not stable. Thanks for the schematic though!

    use fast rectifier at output, like mur420 or any shottky diode, 1n4007 will not last long.

    Aap resistance 100ohm bol rahe ho aur digram me 10 ohm dikha raha hai.

    Sir. Can I use this to increase the battery charging in put voltage of my bike to 14.5 to maximum 15 volts to properly charge my 12v 5ah sealed lead acid battery? The normal voltage at idling is about 12v and at faster rpm it is about 13.4.
