Laurie Morvan Band is a 5-piece high energy, rockin’ blues band lead by its charismatic lead guitarist/vocalist, Laurie Morvan. Based in Long Beach, CA, the band honed its tight, fiery sound performing over 800 shows together including 75 festivals throughout the USA, Canada and Europe.
Their CD, “GRAVITY”, made the 1st Round Grammy Ballot in 2018 for Best Contemporary Blues, and was nominated for Best Blues Album of 2018 in the prestigious Downbeat Reader’s Poll.
“Tasty yet blistering Strat work that hits all the right notes and overflows with soul.” (Vintage Guitar).
The band also garnered the attention of the international market with a nomination for Best New Artist in the 2018 Independent Blues Awards.
“Laurie is one hell of a great guitarist and if you have not had the pleasure of seeing her, put it on your must do list!” (Blues Blast).

Have seen the Laurie Morvan Band live a few times. Was at the Arcadia Blues Club when this was filmed. As always a blues inspirational time.

@@LaurieMorvanBand Last time you were in Salt Lake you played at Pats BBQ back in 2010. That's where we met and talked a little (You're a classy lady). The crowd was small but you put on a great show anyway. That show was my grandsons very first live music event and he still talks about it. He has the poster you signed, framed and on his bedroom wall, one of our prized possessions. We would love to have you come back.😀

just read your bio article in an old copy of big city R and B mag from 2007. Between getting depressed about all the players gone and how changed the scene has become, i would check to see what some of the younger players were up to and here you are! good for you Laurie! i hope you and everyone else (including ME!) are back out there gigging by summer of 21.
