SAAB 95 TiD 150cv cruising on Nurburgring Nordschleife

Rear spoiler comes from an Aero 95, 18 wheels comes from a 93 Aero with 7.5 x18 and 235/40 tyres from Michelin Pilot Sport 5. The engine produces 150cv and 315nm of torque with manual 5 speed gearbox from SAAB who is capable to manage up to 370 nm of torque.
Weight Is set to 1585kg without driver.
Fuel was Shell Vpower Diesel. Injector and fuel pump comes from a 2.4 jtd 185cv.
Mileage is 302.800 km during the laps, that was 4 without stop, this was the last lap I made. The car look not so bad, understeer at 2:35 of the lap, the car was not so hard to push through the corners, seems to be very weel balanced between understeer and oversteer but I would preferred more overesteering attitudes, more or less like a 308 mk2 gti from Peugeot, to give an idea, wich probably helped me a little bit to manage the corner at more speed.
I would probably liked more wider tires, like a 255/35 r18 on a lighter wheels from Oz, with more negative camber ( mine was positive ) and better tire compund ( I was with road Michelin PS5 but There are CUP 2 and Cup 2R after the pilot sport 5, wich are behind the PS4S as performance level ). So as Michelin Compound I think that actually there are the CUP2 R, the Cup 2, the PS4S and the PS5. To gave you a better idea, when I was running with a ns2r from nankang with 205/55 on the same car, the performance was the same as the PS5 with 235/40 r18, also because the NS2r are more wider than what they say, like a 215 more than a 205, and also the 185/60 that I tried in my Yaris was wider than 185 and seems to be like a little bit more than 195…

La pista è relativamente difficile, pericolosa sicuramente perché ha delle pendenze da Luna Park che solo dal vivo si possono provare, nei video non sono così evidenti. La SAAB ha girato dignitosamente, non ha Camber modificabile, non ha assetto specifico ma ha quello di serie votato più alla comodità che alla pura tenuta di strada. Un BTG da circa 10 minuti senza strafare.
Mamma che salite che ci sono, è proprio una pista in cui conta tanto il motore. Ottima guida come sempre aggressivo su quei cordoli che sembrano belli alti
Grazie 🙏. Si è una pista dove conta tutto, motore, aerodinamica, camber, assetto specifico che se troppo rigido non va neanche tanto bene, insomma un mondo a parte rispetto a tutte le altre piste 🙂
