    Mohak -
I am an Indian citizen who has lived in Ukraine and Russia, have worked in geopolitical domain, and I'm in fact in Russia right now. I speak Russian and Ukrainian as well. Hear me out on a few points:
    1. My take: Wagner's mutiny is idealism gone wrong. Apparently, local Wag. commanders complained of issues with the MoD -> Prigozhin blew up and decided to capitulate the Southern Military HQ. BUT - people cheered because they were fully aware that situation will likely not turn into an internal bloodbath. (It happened anyway with shooting down of helicopters but its being swupt under the rug). Rosgvardiya [Border trooops] and MoD have high opinion of Prigozhin and Wagner and fairly poor opinion of Shoigu (known here as "fake general") but not necessarily that of Gerasimov. Prigozhin's approach was quite poor in terms of optics for Putin though. Likely, some key purges and resuffle should happen on both sides and I suspect sooner/later, Shoigu will be transferred and/or someone competent will come in as the de-facto MoD lead.
    2. As for Putin's image in Russia: its one of "he isn't great but he is OUR not-great guy". And most Russians (unless you take inspiration from watching 1420) are aware that Putin is more moderate than other potential challengers to the leadership.
    3. Majority of said "Russia Experts" (usually from the States) irk me - they have missed the mark on way too many occassions and remind me of Zeihan's "China is about to collapse". Their narrative echoes of Schrodinger's Russia: it is strong and menacing but weak and fragile at the same time. Russia is a federative country with different power dynamics here are quite different. Picture this: an issue in Manipur =/= Indian govt does not have control over the entire land. I encourage you to follow key Russian telegram channels to follow on local sentiments and use healthy dose of BS-filter as necessary.
    4. Lastly, to understand the turmoil here, it is vital to note that Russian world-view does not take pro-democracy protests in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Libya and Ukraine as genuine but Color Revolutions. Near-abroad (ближнее зарубежье) is the central-pillar of Russian geopolitical view: Ukraine is 10x more important socially-politically-culturally-strategically for Russians than, say, Finland despite being a border country. This'll tread into realpolitik vs. souvereign right of a country to choose their politico-military alliance but we'll keep it for another day.

It could be idealism gone wrong or it could be war in Ukraine isn't profitable to Wagner anymore. They bragged about their victories and Russia cut off their supplies and also stopped them from recruiting prisoners back in February. They were 50k in December and that number is declining sharply since February. Prigozhin even said the war is wrong because MOD is giving info to putin and isn't justified in one of his videos. That makes me go towards the latter. Also signing contract with mod will reduced their power alot.

I have always been fascinated with Russian politics and despite it being quite a poor, rundown shoddy country, it's weird how it still maintains its global position. Russian cities and infrastructure outside of Moscow looks very grim and falling. There's some sort of miracle that the people and politicians there have will to fight west.

The average Russian has a very different outlook on life than the average Western native. From my limited understanding, their culture around death is rather unique, in that they don't dread it. I guess fighting a war doesn't seem as horrifying to them, especially since they resent the West.

It is time India reduces it's military dependence (specially on Russia) as close to zero as possible.
All the technology that can not be purchased easily from foreign military powers have always been purchased and not developed in house - not because it can't be. But because it is more profitable for politicians (across ALL party lines) to buy them and get fat commissions.
Otherwise, extremely complex technologies like ICBMs and cruise missiles can be developed by Indian engineering since it is not available in international market.

The ☭ Soviet Union/ USSR (that included both 🇷🇺Russia & 🇺🇦Ukraine as 1 country until 1991) supported India since the 1971 Bangladesh war…so it is important that India stays neutral in their conflict as they’ve both technically helped us together.

No. Old Ukraine is dead. Now the woke and nazi simping generation of ukraine want good relationship with the West only.
Ukraine even sold it's T-80 tanks to piggystan and condemned our nuclear tests.
We are not neutral, we are on the side of peace. And you know Russia wanted peace with the Minsk agreement. Guess who violated it?

Lukashenko didn’t save Putin and prevented civil war in Russia out of love& respect for Putin but he brokered between pregozhin and Putin just to save his own @ss because without putin’s Russia, Lukashenko’s dictatorship would end within 24hrs and NATO wouldn’t spare him. Diplomacy is so interesting. 😂😂😂😂

Sir, your videos are the best at explaining stuff to commoners. But when it comes to Russia Ukraine war, your sources are mostly the western news medias. I dont think they are trustable. I would suggest you to find a common ground between russia media and western media and present it.

My take away from this is India is heavily dependent on Russia for it's military equipment. So India wants a stable Russia. Now India turning to America for defense equipment . China and Pakistan are unpredictable as far as India security is concerned. So balancing of power in the region is critical. Canada and activities of khalistan supporter is emerging as a new threat to India. Our immediate neighbors are also no longer favourable country. Political and economical stability of India is very crucial at this critical juncture.
