Great tutorial Chad. I love the second flower. I bet having a gemstone setting in the center would really make it pop! The flower would also make lovely earrings, pendant, bracelet links etc. Etc. Etc. Very nice!
It's a beauty! You have such an easy manner that i find myself talking to you throughout the video. I'm a beginner and learning lots. Now if i could just learn more patience that woukd help.
Beautiful…I love it. Very instructive videos…easy to follow. I am just starting this very expensive hobby and appreciate all the help I can get. Now I keep a notebook with me…ideas are easily noted…❤❤❤
I like both rings for different reasons, and a stone in the center would be a great addition or up-sell. Having the texture is a great opportunity for some oxidation to highlight that and the layers.
I agree the second one was an improved version, but the first one is still a nice piece that I believe the lucky one would love 😊 Many appreciate a simpler design that wount get cought up in fabric, hair, etc. as easy as the second design probably will. Thank you for yet another nice tutorial, Chad! And btw. such a "Chad has'nt cought a book on fire in # days" sign would be a funny add to the workshop 😂
@chadssilversmithing I should have a "Elin has'nt made a new burned spot on her bench in # days" as I every now and then drop hot jewelry parts on my bench on it's way to the pickle 🙈🫣😅
Another beautiful piece! I know all about migraine hangovers - 24/7 chronic, tried everything, nothing works. Must push thru to get the job done. Hang in there!
I definitely like the 2nd one best. Right when you said, “Columbine” I had the same thought. I think you have the beginnings for one and hope you make one! Thanks, Chad!
Being able to see up close how you proceed through a project is a wonderful teaching tool. Many thanks! One question about your Smith air/acetylene torch: is it sooty?
I love both versions Chad - sometimes I prefer simple designs that have a kind of "naive art" aesthetic (no offense intended, I genuinely like this style), but the second one definitely has a lovely 3D effect. The flower type is a "Chadium Silvericus" :)
Hi Chad, thank you for another great tutorial. A year now following you. Thank you for all the helpful advice. I love this ring. You mentioned a bargain bucket? Is this a bucket for discounted jewellery due to mishaps? Thank you again.
Hi Chad, For the more 3D one did you manage to polish it underside and all with a cotton polishing wheel or a bit of tumbling or bristle brushes or what? Going to have a go you see.
@@johngpreston1784 Hello John. Holding it sideways against the big polishing wheel allowed pretty good access into the spaces between the layers:). I use the yellow muslin wheels with white Diamond polishing compound followed by Zam on a softer cotton wheel:)
Hello Terri! If you turn it sideways against the wheel, portions of the wheel can access some of those hard to reach places. You could tumble it with some stainless shot which would shine up some of the hard to reach areas as well. Various rotary tool attachments can help get into small areas as well.
Hey! I heard my name! 😂 Yes, use up the goodies. They make life easier, and you deserve it! 🌺 🌺 🌺
Thanks Flying Chef!

Thanks Rochelle! You’re awesome:)
Absolutely love the second result. Would love to see a little bezel set gem in there. ❤

Good point Elin! I may have to make a sign like that:)

Thank you Ann!
I have started doing the pick soldering and finding it a lot easier
That’s great Marilyn! It was a big help to me once I had a handle on it:)
Sir, that looks stunning.
Thank you SoleilMagica!

I do like the expression:)

Thanks Ljones! It isn't sooty at all. The air mix with the acetylene burns cleanly.

Thank you! I made a bargain bin for pieces I’ve been carting around for a long time that I put out at shows:)
@chadssilversmithing ah brilliant thank you for explaining 😊
I get migraines too and I know exactly what you mean by a headache “hangover”.
Yeah, leaves me a little foggy for a day or so.

How do you get into those tiny places to polish?

i have done some leather work and sheridan carving i would venture to guess its a hibiscus flower chad
It does kind of look like a Hibiscus flower!
Lastima que la traducción sea tan mala 😢
Lo siento, pero gracias por mirar:).
