Everything that’s a pro in this car is also a pro in a regular civic even the weight isn’t far off. Seems like a super duper budget civic honestly not bad I’d think if modded bud stock it’s hideous
Some Del Sols, come with AC and trunk lever/latch. I've owned a 94 Manual Del Sol 1.5 base model factory equipped with AC and trunk latch. Currently, own a 93 Auto Del Sol 1.6 Si model, with AC and all the extra bells and whistles. I've driven the japanese version (right hand drive) with Transtop and cool features not available for the U.S. models. Japanese model, totally different feeling driving it.
1. Its oem, bolt it on. 2. Buy cup holders to put in the passager seat corner 3. Keep the seals well lubed ( its life.) 4. Bolt on, swap them. 5. True, but its a oem part. Isnt annoying but is a con. 6. satire confirmed. Rant avoided. Good video.
First thing we did was nothing but maintenance, going strong at 269k. Got an 07 civic with 259k and did maintenance first. Both cars will out live anything new on the market.
Cup holders can make or break the deal. I don't go anywhere without my coffee! Now give 5 reasons why you like it, but gas mileage can not be one of them!
Base models were optional ac. I have a 94 and it has ac but no trunk release. Trunk release was added in 95 with the updated roof seals. The first 2 years were experimental and they fixed issues along the way. My 94 has the updated seals and ac. I plan on getting the cable from a eg civic and adding the trunk release. Absolutely love the car over any of my other Hondas or acuras over the years
The underside of ours is in immaculate condition. The body needs some work but being in the auto body repair class at the community College, she will be right over this winter. Thanks for watching!
Some came with AC. You can add it. I'll tell you the con list though! leaky targa seals, shitty targa handles (gotta upgrade to aluminum), cup holers, and get jdm visors they are normal.
@@eastcoastken yeah they love to oversteer because the only trim with a rear sway bar is the VTEC and I have an Si, yesterday I almost jumped a curb because the car oversteered mid corner causing me to hit the curb and scratch my front right wheel
@Robert Ralston I don't hate the Del Sol, I actually like it alot. This is just a few things I don't like about it. I've never owned a vehicle that I have 100% liked everything about. @@eastcoastken right I'm from Houston, I remember ac being an option even down here when I was a kid, but everyone down here got it. So it's uncommon to see one without ac down here. I think I saw one as a kid probably 28 years ago.

my 95 has 280,000 and zero problems, timing belt et al and basic maintenance. Some people are idiots who pinch pennies

That's actually going to be the third video. I'm going to put it on the lift to assess the damage from yesterday this afternoon.

Yea itsy beater to save gas. The top comes off and with the back window rolling down it's actually not that bad.

95+ had updated seals and don't leak. You can spend 25 bucks and buy a trunk pop kit!
