Making really good money as a newbie, the funds are priced well for new investors. If the plan is up the funds to start at 50$ a share, I think it will price a lot of people out of great opportunities. Jay in your last interview stated he wanted everyone to have the opportunity to invest not just a select few. Maybe ask Jay next interview if they are going to keep a few funds prices for the little guy, 12-25 dollars. Thanks. Freaking spider
Should we take wagers on whether the MSTY fund manager closes the 150 early and looks like a rock star or pushes his luck and blows millions to look like a fool. Again…. Looks like TSLY fund manager stepped in it too. Should have closed yesterday. What are these people thinking? Ridiculous
YM is risky investment. You will loss more NAV than dividend if you got sudden market crash as July and August. Just compare NAV of the YM and underlying stock when stock crashed in July and August, then you will realize that NAV of the YM can follow just 20~30% when underlying stock increase 100%. I can see that MSTY is only following similar movement with the underlying stock. IF YOU ARE DEPENDING ON DIVIDENT ONLY OR NOT LOOKING FOR TAX SAVING, DO NOT INVENST YM UNTIL THEY CHANGE THE NAV MANAGEMENT STRATEGY. DO COMPARE WITH QDTE AND XDTE FIRST.
What do you think about moving the dividend from the A through D and keep rotating for a weekly dividend build, or just keep it all in MSTY? Freakin spider
So the funds that are not paid in the first week of October, will they continue to accumulate call premiums or losses until the usual period to close for the month, or when will the group funds transition?? Seems like this will throw off the yields.
Can’t believe they didn’t close out the lowest contracts in COIN yesterday. End of day would have been perfect and we wouldn’t have been called as much today.
I own 4 yieldmax ETFs, IWMY, QQQY, AMDY, CONY all are way down from original purchase. I have my doubts about these funds. What do others think? I invested to provide income. I’m retired. They aren’t in a tax protected account. Interested in all thoughts.
I've shared this same concern over the past couple of weeks. Hard to hear excitement about funds that are half the face value they were 4 months ago and half the payouts. Seeing that they are winning on 70% of their trades and thinking back to past videos where they lose 40-50 million on one trade I don't give much credit to the 70% win rate. I'd love to know what the total dollar amount win/loss is although I think we get a pretty good sense of what that would be based on the dropped share prices. At this point the basis I have I don't need and the payouts are still higher than most other funds but if you may want to consider something with less volatility. Initially of all my high yield funds I had SVOL as biggest position and sold out to chase CONY/MSTY run. When those recover more towards my initial basis considering lightening up those and reestablishing SVOL
I am in the same situation, in my case with CONY, MISTY and NVDY. All of them bought near their highest price. I used to own TSLY. I bought at around $18 and sold out at around $12. Then it went down and did the reverse split. If they had not done the reverse split the current price would be about $6.10. I put the money that I did get out into FEPI which is down slightly from the price I paid, but does pay around $1.10 in dividend every month. And I have also been slowly buying QDTE. I don't think I could bring myself to put money into another Yeildmax ETF. I am considering just accepting my substantial losses and using what money I get from selling to invest in other ETFs with a more stable NAV over the long term.
It may have been a typo on your end but, IWMY & QQQY are Defiance funds. What I'm doing with mine is; AMDY, taking a big risk with them but really feel they are the TSLA of AI - buying deep dips and praying a lot. May come back to bite me but you only live once. More MSTY less CONY, but have both. IWMY, I believe small caps are going to be more rewarding than NASDAQ as the Fed lowers rates, plus RUT will have more active stocks (and growing) than the handful on the NDX. I'm convinced we will see a 6K S&P by Dec, so I'm long on SPYT for my safe guaranteed 20% and XDTE for my higher IV (plus like their weekly payouts) in that index. And I'm the freakiest on the Russell; keeping IWMY (but not adding more) but looking to sell when the price is right, and and investing dividends in RDTE and buying more RDTE shares for the same reason I like it's brothers (XDTE & QDTE). My only worry is the potential Longshoremen's Union port strike. Small CAPS and S&P will get hit worse than the other indexs if they strike. Freakin unions are slowing killing capitalism in our country IMHO. Watching the VIX & USO daily to see if I need to chill or not with my strategery. What was your original plan when you purchased the YM Funds? Do you track how close your are to achieving 100% ROI? Thats my goal with these funds. I am going to attempt to get 100% ROI and then re-evaluate at that point. To me, a lot depends on your entry point and how stable you want your monthly income to be. My largest holdings are NVDY & MSTY. Added ULTY fairly recently as well. I do own others as well, but not large positions.
@@Redbirds178 My goal was to supplement my SS and add to my other dividends. Doing the math today the four yieldmax positions I have paid $10,166 in dividends since my first purchase in Nov. 23. The value of the 4 has dropped by $9,350. My original purchases cost $25,762. So I lose $6,246 if I cash out now. Obviously I lose more if the share price continues to drop. I think most everyone who comments on these yieldmax channels is betting that share price improves. I’m questioning whether that’s a good bet.
After loosing almost 100k of capital, I don't think these funds will be around in 10-15 years. I'll stick with the juggernauts of market Vanguard etc... I hope this works out for all of you investing in these high yield funds for the love of god.
@@freetrailer4poor One fund worked out for you what are you going to do when CONY reverse splits over time and you keep loosing shares? You have to be extremely bullish on the underlying and everything has to go right for this stradegy to work. Its a gamble in my opinion, I think the managers are great people and awesome to see them pushing the limits. I hope it all works out for you all. I sold out of all my YM positions and and happily realized the loss and moved forward as the capital could have just eroded away over time and the divs would just keep getting smaller. Bring in a War/pandemic.. panic sellling these funds will probably have to consider being in business. Jay is a great guy and I hope these funds work out for everyone longterm. @@RetireonDividends Seems like only a few of these funds have been able to hold their share price?
