Maybe he meant its difficult for him to raise his hands above his head ... it's hard for him to extend his arms with both hands above his head ... that's why it's hard for him to do a crosscourt pass when raising the ball with two hands

I could never get over Noah’s shot. The side spin on the ball was just awkward.
His coaches never forced him to start putting his right hand along the Y-axis of the ball. That was his problem; if you look at his shooting, he's holding it with his right hand way off center and is sort of pushing it with both hands rather than using his dominant hand to shoot with his left hand as a guide.

Noah's shot was jus horrible and weird , Chuck Hayes looked like he never shot a free throw in his life , in today's game brewer , Hayes wldnt be in the NBA, there's jus too much talent but hey I always like Shawn Marion, dude was a beast

to be fair he genuinely probably does have some of the biggest hands in nba history, in width and length. he really doesn't have a ton of space to cleanly put one hand under the ball and one hand on the side

Yeah I’m with you on the Shaq thing. Shaq should have been replaced by Bill Cartwright. His form wasn’t the problem. It was not that bad, his problem was his hands were too big. There’s an old video somewhere that had Kevin Nash and the Big show playing basketball. If you watch them (especially show) they had the same issue as Shaq: hands too big. Imagine shooting free throws with a softball and you have an idea of what it was like for them. You not gonna hit 50 percent out of 100 shots with that softball let alone that same percentage after a thousand or ten thousand shots. They didn’t have bad form it was just figuring out how to hit over 50 percent of shots with a softball basically.
How Bill Cartwright didn’t make this list is beyond me.

Some UK players have had some of the ugliest forms in history. You got two on this list in Gilchrist and Hayes. If you also look at Wayne Turner (shot a perfectly vertical shot with arms straight at the top for his release, typically cocked the ball all the way behind his head before shooting as well). Also Tayshaun Prince, who was actually a solid shooter and key defensive and offensive contributor to those Piston teams of the early 2000s, he shot with his offhand elbow straight out and placed over the top of the ball.
I remember Turner's wacky shooting technique very clearly. Ugliest shot ever, but it often went in. Just not so much on the freethrow line.

This is fascinating, but not necessarily surprising. It's similar to how people hold their pencil. It seems that most people hold them in one of like three different types of positions, but every once in a while, someone will hold their pencil in some bizarre contortion of their hand. This shooting form thing seems like a similar phenomenon.

I’m surprised you left out people like Ben Wallace, Bill Cartwright, and by the way, Chris Webber was terrible from the free throw line as well. You left out awful, shooting forms by people, such as Dennis Rodman.. Charles Oakley, shooting form wasn’t the worst, and it probably wasn’t the prettiest, but he seem to score a lot more than he should have with that form Anthony Mason’s shooting form was terrible as well, he kept throwing nothing but line drives

First guy bad form seems like he had a problem with putting to much of a push on the ball causing overshooting. Second guy probably had the ball going to far right so weird elbow angle probably helped correct that.
let me be clear, if you would have told Joakim Noah that he needed to fix his shooting form, that man would have looked you straight in the eyes and told you he did not care about having bad form. every bulls fan at the time knew it was never gonna change, and we were okay with it, that wasn't who he was and it wasn't who we needed him to be.

Ben Wallace was the worse at one point actually, and you didn't show the most bizzare part of Marion's shooting...his free throws...i never seen such a bizzare form. It looked like he was either doing a freeze frame flash thing with hands 👐 or flickering the ball and it actually go in most of the time's. He shoot like that too but you catch it even more at the free throw line.
