and about the other game, DOOMED, we've made a lot of progress and discoveries but that's for another video, and we wanted to do something different, as I previously stated, it has been messing up with my mental health lately."

Honestly what's so touching about this creepypasta is the fact that the even though we can see that the mother's spirit is angry at the father the main emotions the mother shows towards the son are fondness by giving him another chance at the level and sorrow for not being able to spend more time with him. Not even all the suffering from being trapped in a game was able to break the mother's love
aww
Creepypasta that only has "you play it, you die" or "just being scary" is old, stupid and lame. This right here is a real creepypasta.
The question here is...how many chances would she give to her child?
@@theepic1944 Another great example is Godzilla NES Creepypasta. There is also a good story and so many factors making this pasta good
It reads specifically like this was a game that meant a lot to the two. Like, the child introduced her to the game since it was something more her speed visually and gameplay wise, and the two were hooked on trying out the different challenges. (From how she plays, she seemed to like the idea of I, Zombie.)
For her to cling so tightly to the game, it would have to have meant a LOT to her, and being a major anchor of bonding between her and her child seems like a big factor in it.
It seems like it's even reflected in how she renders the zombies; They look freaky, sure, but they don't look that bad compared to the normal ones. They look like they were drawn from memory. She's not trying to be scary or imposing; she just isn't quite getting the hang of the state she's in.
No random jumpscares, no screamers, just a mother missing her family... this was actually a really nice watch, i wasn't expecting this.
I agree, I really liked the story ❤, I'm glad that at the end I can rest in peace with the others 🥲

This is unironically the best take on Deadplants I have seen. I love how it isn’t some “oh this game scary and is coming to kill me”, but is instead an unfolding story about a deceased mother reaching her child for one last conversation.
It's kind of like those paranormal investigators entering some kind of haunted house or whatever building it is now, and actually communicating with the anomaly that's trying to talk to them, it's something like that.
I more like in this thing that it is not trying to be "creepy". It may also seem like a modded version. Just bad modded. And thus, it doesnt make the pmayer an idiot that instead of deleting this damn scary game keeps playing it, even though HE said that this game is very strange. This game opens up at the end. And that is cool, in my opinion.
I feel like the mother’s spirit simply wanted someone to talk to, so they could finally find some form of peace. To me, the game crashing after the white peeshooter fades away shows that her spirit was finally able to move on, thus the game she was modifying crashed.

I'm pretty sure the story is this:
A girl Dinara plays a version of plants vz zombies, there are many glitches and bugs found out to be by her dead mother. The mother is dead because the father joined a war (possibly the Cold War based on Zomboss's hat), at first he protected the mother and her family but eventually left them to die, the mother is vengeful and wants to get back at the father. When Dinara plays the possessed PVZ game and the mother apologizes for never being there for her. By playing the game Dinara frees her mother and the family from being trapped in the game, (the family members are on the tombstones).
Although apparently its Vibing leaf playing the game instead of Dinara, unless Dinara is Vibing leaf/let Vibing leaf have the footage.
Also, as a massive Horror and PVZ fan I can confirm that this is absolutely terrifying

@@Godyeater damn, she did all dat just to not even see her child again

I think that when the file became unplayable, the spirits were freed. The grey peashooter seemed to represent the mother, and there were other grey plants, implying the presence of other spirits within the game. I think that because they beat the game, the last level fighting Zomboss, it freed all the spirits trapped in the game and destroyed the program. It's sad that it wasn't really her daughter though, she was probably just holing it was without really knowing who she was talking to. The zombie hand is actually still in the game. But on Pc
the zombie's eye in the loading bar has a very large pupil
I love this interpretation of the Deadplants creepypasta. Instead of your average 2013 "ohhh noes my pwant is vewy scawwy im scawed they gon kiww me" story, this version is about a copy of the game in which a deceased mother and her family members are trapped in. The mother and family are represented by the Deadplants that appear as zombies eat the normal plants. The family was probably left behind by the father during a war and left to die. And the anomalies in this PvZ copy is her trying to reach out to her child one last time before moving on in the afterlife. Although the mother is still angry at the father for leaving them behind, the love for her child has not been broken, seen as her giving the player a second chance.
I don't really get the abandonment part because if they died in the that war and he fought in that war, then wasn't he actually putting himself on the line to fight for them?

BIG THEORY TIME: At 10:05, "He left my family to die all for a stupid war" is referring to Crazy Dave abandoning his family and letting them get killed and eaten by the zombies before taking shelter in a new house to fight the zombie armies (Crazy Dave’s namesake insanity was likely caused by a combination of his guilt and the war itself. He likely killed himself before the events of this copy began which is why we never see him.), setting up the events of Plants vs Zombies. Notice that the woman we see for a split second looks like a zombie. The spirits of the family members (the woman in the case of the white peashooter most likely) are represented by plants because they are still good natured, but their bodies were transformed into zombies when they were eaten. Also that the Zomboss was the woman’s zombie body and that destroying it finally allowed her soul to be free (for the sake of this theory souls are essentially trapped in zombie bodies). She wasn’t truly free until the end, when the woman sent all of the zombies left to be freed by the player (who is a character in the PvZ universe that works with Crazy Dave and is likely Crazy Dave’s son here.). On the name its simple, the deadplants are the spirits manifesting as plants “like the white peashooter.”
I think it has something do with a war in the real world. One with the russians.
.
The part where Dinana said "He left my family to die all for a stupid war", i was thinking more that the person was referring to an armed conflict in Eastern Europe at around the mid 2010s, not some in-game lore schism becoming real

When a horror media isn't only made for the creeps, but also the story and the background is more beautiful than disturbing, you know its a piece of art
The scariest scariest part of all the video is his simetry (how he placed all the plants)
10:27 The Game play kinda hurts to watch, my man put the cherry bomb on the top only hitting two lanes instead of 3, Rookie move
anyone know the song at the end?
No

@@EvillAIex777 thank you!!
I really hope you do more remakes/retakes on these creepypastas,They are amazing.
and this take on deadplants.exe is so well written, horrifying and depressing at the same time,a mother trying to call her daughter and being thankful to her daughter for freeing her and the others,Best concept for a creepypasta ever.
this is the most 2010 video I saw in 2023 lol, also this was a very good "version" I guess
This is the first creepypasta re-take I've seen that has given me genuine emotions while watching it. As I'm writing this comment down, I can just barely feel tears at the back of my eyes.
Simply put, we need more creepypastas like this one; stories that focus more on emotions and conflict rather than just "hyper-realistic blood" and "games that kill you when you play it."
Emotional ghost stories like deadplants.mp4 was something I'd never thought would come to be in the creepypasta genre, but man, am I glad to see one.
Great job, VibingLeaf. Great job.
bro its literally plants vs zombies, i get maybe its emotional but like the dead person trapped in a game has been done so many times before
I'm waterepeater now 😭😭
I've never read this creepypasta back then but VibingLeaf really paid attention to detail with this video, instead of "being scary" its a spirit of a deceased mother who has one final chat with her son.
I like that the thumbnail is like: "This is the VHS horror film, it will be infested with jumpscares, creppy things, dead bodies etc."
But no, it isn't! I'm kinda surprised of that thing. I like how it's not filled with jumpscares, but instead gives us a story about a mother that wants to play with her child.
This is so creepy yet heartbreaking. Good job on doing that. Keep the work up.
Omg i can't believe how scary PUTTING THR THREEPEATER ON THE 1ST AND THE 5TH LINE
As a pvz player, I'm so mad at the players HORRENDOUS STRATEGY

And here I thought the mother chose this game because she wanted to “cultivate” a relationship with the player, telling him/her/them a story she couldn’t tell before. But now that she has a chance to “vent” she can finally rest. Just like a garden, you need to cultivate it, talk to your plants in a nice way, listen to their needs and cherish for them

"One more video before I sleep"
The video in question:
(Your strategy and not picking up coins will give me nightmares)
Some stuff i understood:
The peashooter infront of us at the battle is a representation of his father allowing everyone (basically our plants) to die.
Each of those like corrupted peashooters is a reference of those who had to die.the name of deadplants is cause in the end our plants keep dying that easy
Ill check thw video again to understand more
I really love how this was done. The unique story, the fact there’s actual footage of it happening in time. It’s quite a treat!

You just always find a way to make creepypasta better. Love the story in this one, tugged at my heart strings a good bit.
