Not quite the ending I would prefer but not everyone would wanna take the pacifist route depending on how bad they were treated. Speaking only for myself, I think whatever happened before I walked into that room was probably enough to teach this person a lesson. I would have asked Wally to stop and also quelled their worry that I would hate them. I wouldn't hate someone for trying to defend me, but I would be forced to see them differently and not pleasantly if they went any further than they already had. I would have cut the person loose but reminded them: "I'm not helping you. I have no reason to help you. I'm only doing this to protect Wally, and maybe my own perception of him, from the aftermath of what I'm sure he would do to you. I think you should take this as your only warning and leave. Now. And I don't just mean the house. You have one hour to pack and leave the neighborhood completely. If we see you again then next time I won't stop him.
