@Taylor Darden Yeah, it was opened when I made the comment ( with help of business visa agents) and then closed when the variant happened so I never got a chance to go. I moved to Medellin instead till other places open.

Hello from Berkeley. Great video and wish more people would take the plunge and go2 Indonesia. I went in the 70s studying Balinese dance and ended up staying for one year. Dropped out of dance, 2hot and left Ubud ,moved to Kuta and kept meeting incredible people and have been going to Bali ever since and beyond: Sumba, Timor, Flores, Komodo island, Raja Ampat, New Guinea & on. Here in Ubud now! Was here in 2019 for a month! Glorious! I am an expat now living here. Indonesia is not open for tourism. You can only be here if you’re repatriating or for business and retirees…for those asking. Passport Heavy thanks for the info about the Sound healing. I only patronize local warungs as these families were hit the hardest by the pandemic. The waterfalls have returned to their natural state due to tourists not being here. I know that the Indonesian government is looking into changing parameters for reopening to reduce “overtourism” as before.

I did stay in Ubud and there are a lot of attractions around it which were good but I wasn't keen on Bali beaches though

Bali is dope. Beautiful beaches and views there. However, the current is super strong and the waves are violent as well. Personally saw 2 people get pulled out to sea on rip currents. Make sure you're a good swimmer. Don't underestimate those waters.

If there's one thing I'd like to learn when traveling to Bali it wouldn't be yoga....it'll be Pencak Silat. Yoga studios are a dime a dozen in the USA. I understand not all yoga studios will be created equal but finding one is fairly easy. Especially in urban areas. The same can't be said about Silat. In fact, I'm willing to bet most Americans haven't even heard of it.
Question! We are booking for next year what is the best way to book a hotel and flight fir a good price? We are staying 3 days in Ubud and 4 days in Uluwatu. What do you suggest?

Can you disclose how you got to Bali? Was it through a work visa? Looks like all the government websites say it’s forbidden for tourism. Thanks!
I suspect it's through the B211B visa.
International travellers wishing to visit Bali may be able to do so by applying for the single-entry visitor visa B211B. The B211B visa allows any foreign nationals to gain entry into the country in some industrial or business-related capacity, so it’s NOT a tourist visa.
The B211B visa is valid for six months and can be extended up to four times, with each extension valid for 30 days. Please note that one of the requirements of obtaining this visa is a presence of a company willing to sponsor said foreign national. However, visa agents in Bali can arrange for this requirement to be fulfilled.
While it’s by no means ideal, the B211B visa is currently the only possible way of gaining entry into Indonesia and spend an extended amount of time in Bali.
If I recall in another video they said they went to Bali early on post Covid to camp out there before things got locked down.
