Thanks for this demo video. The tones you got made me want to give this guitar a try. I was skeptical because I generally don't like active pickups and I also do not care for the Fluence Modern set. I took a chance and ordered the X700 Duality ii and I'm so glad I did. This guitar is very articulate and clear, yet it's also warm, thick, chunky, and very dynamic. The single coil voicings are awesome too. I love it!
Thank god I don't have epilepsy because the amount of camera spikes would kill me and I'm only at 2:22
😭😭🤣🤣 I’ll work on it.
Can I split the neck pickup?
Great video! The guitar sounds pretty good. Looking up specs, the neck radius states 15.75", how does it feel? Is there a taper to it, is it thick, or like an Ibanez schredder? What would you compare the neck to? Thanks
It’s like a Kiesel or a thicker wizard neck. It’s not super thin at all. Closer to an Ibanez AZ but definitely wider fret board.
is it really 6kg? that is crazy heavy, can you please confirm? I'm having a hard time finding it
No way! That’s over 13 lbs in the US. It’s maybe a little over half of that
I am in love with these new X700s awesome review 😎👊🏻💯🔥🔥🔥
you mean X700 triality?
@@葛权-q3b yep 👍🏻
What can you say about neck thickness? Is it like Ibanez Japan super wizard?
No!! Not that thin at all. It’s definitely thicker than that. It’s kinda of wide like the wizard but closer to an Ibanez az neck I think. I compare it to my kiesels a lot.
It's a D shape and a bit thicker (about 2 mm I think) than Super Wizard. Pretty shreddy, but not absurdly thin.
I love the feeling of it personally and my favorite necks are MM Majesty's and Schecter's Ultra Thin C so if you have similar taste then it should fit.
I have the first X700 Duality. The guitar on my "never sell" list along with far more pricey instruments.
The Scott Lepage pickups and the Open Core pickups are exactly the same tone wise . Only difference is his set has gold pole pieces other than that they’re the same pickup . This is why fluence calls his set “custom series” instead of a signature set
Hey man, great video, just wanted to ask how you got that polyphia sound. Was the bridge pickup voiced?
ALL Fishman Fluence are voiced! It’s about how they are voiced. That setting is just a single coil setting with the right gain on it! These pick ups are almost the same as Scott LePages signature pickups. So it does sound close, if not identical!
@@jimmyfranklin oh got it. Thanks!
The body is it the same as Ibanez RG series?
what is the weight of this guitar ?
Roughly 7 lbs? Maybe a little less?
@@jimmyfranklin nice thank you
The nut that came with my x700 (in blue:D) was awful. Strings would get stuck and make a little pop sound everytime when I tune the guitar (and cause tuning stability issue). I replaced it with a proper graphtech tusq xl nut and by the sound of the drop test with both nuts, the original nut is most likely made out of plastic, but that's just me and my guitar...
was yours the Duality 2??? or the first one?? im curious because ive had no problems with stability. im wondering if that was a major difference causing the price difference?
@@jimmyfranklin Yeah it's Duality 2! I ordered it 2 months ago and the first one I received had qc problems. Pickups didn't work properly (only had 4 positions instead of 5). Don't remember about tuning stability issue because of old strings and a dusty fretboard. I sent it back and received a better one last month. The nut had some scratches between the slots, so it wasn't a perfectly made nut. If Cort sent you that guitar, then mine may not be as good as yours
@@B3ST1NY I have an X700 mk1 and the G string slot was a bit tight. I used some sandpaper and widened it just a hair to help. Curious on which graphtec nut you used. Wouldn't mind swapping mine out at some point. Other than that, absolutely amazing instrument in every sense of the word.
@@low_e_music I used 6643 but it's just a hair smaller than the original. It's still 43mm though
@@B3ST1NY Thank you, I appreciate it.
🚨Motion sickness warning. 😅
