    Interesting and compact. Will have to wait for some videos showcasing what the performance is like before I snag one though.

    Are the threads metric or Imperial? Important if you want to mix and match with other systems.

    Bunkers on the air. It's taking off in Europe.

      There are a ton of WWII and cold war bunkers all over Europe... some in very remote areas. What a cool way to get outside and on the air!

    Oh I'm sorry, someone else already mentioned Bunkers On The Air. Well, I propose a new thing: ROTA - Roofs On The Air. Sitting on your house/home roof and transmitting from there, in my case with my mag-mounted 2/70 dual band on top of the kitchen hood outlet flue/chimney acting as a ground plane.

    Ha! My wife suggested HOTA (Hotels On The Air) when I was traveling a few months ago 😄

    What is the link to the antenna? May look at it to replace my PAC-12 antenna.

    Well someone was inspired by JNC radio. Looks like a cross between the chelegance MC-750 and the JNC12

      Could be... or the reverse might be true.

      @JonathanKayne 2 месяца назад +2

      @HamRadioOutlet I doubt that. Those antennas have been out for years and yours just came out.

      @@JonathanKayne We just stared selling it, you mean! ;-)

    • @JonathanKayne
      @JonathanKayne 2 месяца назад

      @@HamRadioOutlet it's an antenna. It doesn't take multiple years to develop that kind of product.
      And even IF you started development prior to them, we are finding out about it now. That also means JNC radio is finding out about it. Therefore to insinuate that JNC radio based their design off of yours is idiotic at best.

      @@JonathanKayne HRO does not manufacture products. JNC Radio even admits on their website they buy from other OEM manufacturers. OEM manufacturers sell different versions of the same product to different retailers.

    Ham radio has never been more hip. Put together a Hermes Lite 2, Thetis software, one of these antennas and head to the park.

    How is this better than a trucker mount on a tent stake and a 17ft whip . Add a loading coil for 40m . And some powerpole radials ? 100 bucks will do it for a beefy whip . Cheaper if ya go the m10 Chinese route.
    I guess tuning with the lil slider is nice. As opposed to shortening the whip to sharpied band markers.

      You can make your own antenna for sure, just as you can make your own radio.
