Yes 100% you can be a lead while doing a internship. Time totally depends on you how much time you can give to community. I'll share how much time i use to spend it stays around 4-5 days of efforts for events or workshops every month and if you planned something bigger pan india or international then it maybe more as well for you
No technical questions just they will ask about your projects. Interview questions will be like. Why you want to become a lead? How will you manage a community? What are your projects? Etc.
