I've cruised with HAL many times: Gratuities can be pre-purchased as part of the "Have it all" package, but not all the time. Alaska is #1 with HAL, check out their land / cruise combo, getting to see the inland parts of the state. We're at a 4-star level, and truly enjoy the more refined / civilized atmosphere.
You caught my attention when you said solo cabins. I love a laid-back adult vibe cruise when going solo. NCL is my go-to when going solo. I have to check them out!
Love HAL. They brought me back to cruising on their Alaska itinerary. Food, service, and entertainment top notch. Too bad Lincoln center musicians are not available anymore ❤
The Boston-Quebec cruise route has Breton Thunder as an extra music performance. I have heard nothing but great reviews of it :) Tagging along your comment about regional entertainment.
I sailed in a solo cabin on the Rotterdam a year ago. The cabin is great lots of room they all have a window, but the price of that solo cabin was more than paying double for an interior cabin so if you really want that window go for it if you want to save some money, compare the price to an interior cabin

Yeah we can't wait to try Alaska with them ☺️
After cruising with Royal Caribbean, NCL and Princess we are now sailing most frequently with HAL and loving it!
We can't wait to sail more with HAL.
You make me want to go on a Holland America cruise. Thanks for expanding our horizons.
That's the goal 😊
Thanks for sharing & changing my mind! I’d NEVER even considered Holland America. Always great information.😊

We love the regional entertainment 🙌
I sure would love to hear some feedback on the solo cabins on the Rotterdam. Anyone that has sailed on the solo cabins what is your opinion of them?

Gratuities included in the fare? Not always. Sailing from or to Australia, yes. South America NO. I'm 5 star over 500 days on HAL.
That’s a lot of cruising! You are an expert! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
