Pontifex is 180 not 170 and doesn't get look out sir as for rules purposes crew/companions are treated as mounts for all rules purposes. Look out sir says if you have a mount you dont get look out sir (there is an exception for companions not crew through). Command Corps also have an error with how sawbones works, it does not min bring back 1 model. Each Roll is separate you have to full bring back a model on that roll so no you cannot roll then add the result
You are right, Zenestra has a Crew and not a Companion. Seems like we have been playing Zenestra wrong around here! This makes her quite a lot easier to deal with. Thanks for catching that I think we were unclear in how Command Corps revives when we were discussing it in the video. Like you said, you cannot add them together. We said "minimum" one model comes back, but we were talking about the average result (need one 5+ on 3 dice). Should have been clearer!
Thanks for the discussion. I have that dumb idea to own at least one ally from every existing Order army, but could not figure out what to take from Seraphon. So I'm glad that you discussed a couple options there. If the Skinks on the Stegadon wouldn't look so outdated, I would get that one. A flexible non-hero monster sounds like a good thing to have access to, since SCE don't have that. For more modern, better looking units, it sounds like Skink Starseer plus Hunters of Huanchi would be good option for an ally pool.
Pontifex seems crazy, the initial 3+ is 66% to achieve but just pinging wizards and priests on a 2+ battlefield wide while having a build in 4+ ward + unbind. Maybe im reading too much into it but im in doubt between pontifex or Command corps as an ally, others dont seem too neat or too expensive. On a side note I did read a "rumor" that they're not gonna allow CoS allies.
We did this a while ago... but it needs to be updated since there have been a lot of releases since then. Good idea for a future video, maybe after the next battlescroll?
Neat, interesting combinations! Until Cities revamp, when I played a mixed list it was CoS with coalition SCE Otherwise, when I played SCE, I played just SCE
Vince Venturella is speculating that the current ally system will go away with 4th edition. And that only Regiments of Renown and warscrolls with dedicated ally rules will remain. I hope he is wrong, because I think the current AoS ally system is pretty much in the perfect spot between necessary restrictions and flexible list building options. Your video is a good example for how much discussion and fun options the current ally system can generate.
The only change I would like to see is removing Unique units from the ally pool, and adding back specific Uniques with special rules (eg. Neave, Archaon, Gotrek, Nagash, etc.)
Similar to Gotrek, Stormcast already have a good number of slow beatstick heroes, so I'm not sure the Light of Eltharion adds anything unique. He has decent stats and his mortal wound blast is cool, but for similar points we could bring units like Dracolines or Fulminators instead

Loreseeker pro: can more easily deny magic dom if you give away turn. Drop closer, not too close.
Cool idea!

Would love if a similar video is done for SC units that can be brought as Allies for other Grand Order factions!

What do you think about The light of Eltharion?

Blazing weapons just got changed to melee only
Yup... Fusiliers definitely not worth using any more!
