Hello Lauren I just want to share this with you..I've always love the guitar, but never learn how to play it, so my wife just bought me a guitar and told me to learn how to play it, I have bought stuff to learn, and I was looking for help and how to learn, I dont know nothing at all, I fou d your channel and it looks like is a great help, can you please help me , I want to learn how to play guitar, do you have any lessons for beginners, please can you help me? Thank you so much God bless you....
Most teachers assume so much and rush by parts so fast they are hard to understand. I love and appreciate your explaining tricky parts several times to make sure we can get it. The extra tips at the end are very good and help us to have some flair! Thanks for being such a patient, caring, and excellent teacher!!
I am a retired individual who received a guitar last Christmas.I have learned a lot from your videos. You are very patient with people like me(beginners).Thank you. Bac
Thanks Lauren, great lesson, I'm an old geezer with a lovely Gibson, I can get my fingers around this lovely song, I had the privilege of seeing Lenoard in Greece many years ago xx
I could write several paragraphs on this lesson but keeping it short - I think this is the best lesson on this great song on the WEB. Do not skip the bonus section, it enhances the song big time and is not difficult.
I've played for about 30years and quite just started back a few months ago you sure had gave my mind a good kick start thank you girl your the greatest
May I make a suggestion? Please refer to the stings by their number. The skinny E string is the 1st string. The 6th string , as you know is also an E. It doesn't help when you refer to the strings, as the top one or the bottom one. You have a lovely voice and believe it or not, it is a big is a great tool for teaching. Thank you so very much. I shall continue to follow you because yo speak clearly and I can tell you really want your viewers to learn . Thank you
Love your teaching I’m telling others about your videos we old folks need someone with patience hard to teach a old dog new tricks but learning God bless
I love all your lessons. So easy to understand. I'm getting the hang of things. I find so far the finger picking songs are easier for me so far. Strumming still needs practicing along with holdbthe pick and keep it from moving. I find myself Strumming to hard.
I just recently found your channel and bought my first guitar. I have been taking piano lessons for the past 10 years and got my first music lesson 67 years ago on an accordion. One of the first tunes I learned was The Skater's Waltz. At the time, I was told waltz time was 3/4 time. I never saw 6/8 time until many years later when I fell in love with traditional Irish music, where I was told that 6/8 time was "jig" time. I really enjoy your videos. Will be signing up for your beginner's course next week. Thanks for all the hard work. Sorry, I guess time has passed me by. I just saw another video on this song and that guy also said it was in waltz time. I just need to get with the times :)
my great teacher Lauren thank you so much.Love so much your channel .Im so excited to be weekend always and vacation in school so that I will be with you most of the time .
Hi Lauren thanks for this lesson. So clear and well explained. Now I have no excuses thank you. I listened to a few guys who, to be fair have been most excellent but there's no little 'foggy' areas with your lesson so most excellent. Cheers
Such a terrific lesson ~ very easy to follow and with wonderful detail. The tab and picking pattern inserts help a lot. And the bonus embellishments - very nice. You are a very good teacher. Thank you so much!
This lesson made a huge difference in the sound of this song going from how I was playing it to how it sounds. If I can figure out how to record on Garage Band I will post the the new version here. Would like to post my old version for comparison but don't want to play it like that again. This lesson is not complex but makes a huge improvement.

It's different sections of the songs. Intro starts the song. Verse is lyrics that are different. Chorus is lyrics that repeat.
